"You're lucky to have Ice, Shadow; you're really lucky to have someone...." Echo said as I looked at her. Sighing I looked into her eyes, "I've never been lucky, not in the realy big things. I lost my footing, I fell, I lost everything important to me. In the years we were separated Ice found a mate, he got stronger. If one of us will make it all the way to Harmony it will be him. I'll fall before I reach it. I can't run as a wolf, I can't move as quickly as a human, I'm trapped." I said, mainly trying to give her something else to think about. Slowly I put my arms around her, "Echo, I promise you, I'll be there for you, whatever happens." I said knowing that was a promise I would have to keep. Something must have hit play on my CD player because It's a Beautiful Lie by 30 Seconds To Mars started playing. Normally I wouldn't react but right now it was the last thing needed to make me brake down. I felt hot tiers running down my face. "I'm not about to leave you alone again." I said hoping she didn't notice I was crying.
