I processed the thought. What was this place called Harmony? A place where halfers could live in peace. Even if such a place exists how could such a broken creature like myself ever make it there. When I needed to run; I wouldn't be able too. My back legs would give out and I would be left for dead. It was the evitable truth. Suddenly Shadow made a slow moment and wrapped his arms around me. "Echo," He spoke. "I promise you, I'll be there for you, whatever happens." He sounded so sincere; Could he really mean such a thing? My hands trembled against his chest as he spoke. A voice screamed in my head to push him away to run and never look back. It told me I was making a mistake that being with him will only lead to suffering but...my heart cried out for him. I let the tears come and wrapped my arms around his neck. "I'm not about to leave you alone again." His voice shook slightly as he said it; hot tears streamed down my face as I sobbed into his chest. The years of anxiety and grief pouring out of me. The chains of fear fell from my heart; the burden was lightened I wasn't alone anymore. "Shadow,...merci..." I thanked him quietly before my vision went back and I collapsed into his arms.

Seems things might work out after all between these two. Though they're both emotional wrecks at the moment. ^^

Shadow and Ice sure seem to compare themselves to eachother alot.
