--Zar's POV
The snow fell silently outside the cavernous mouth of my cave. These cool months I tended to sleep a lot, in my own light form of hibernation. I flipped over, the boulder no less comfortable than it was last month. Why was this always such a pain? I felt the tug of sleep as the sandman came by to make his rounds to me once again, the darkness closed in. The swirls of snow danced in from of my tired eyes as the world gradually faded from view.
I would have stayed like that, harmlessly, for a few months, taking a much needed beauty nap. That is if you can call that twisting turning and fidging napping. If you were to call in the months of November to December and the redskins didn't win the super bowl, just don't call (Especially if the cowboys won, I might eat the team).
A oh so short while later a bunch of animals strayed into my cave. Halflings, and not the short kind either, that or they smelled the same as Halflings. I wasn't wake enough to hear for a good few minutes, but I could feel the foot on my hand. I squish my claws around to wear they cut into my on flesh. Think hangnail only a few times worse in pain. It got to the point where it was (pardon the pun) unbearable.
"That's my real name. Jake is just a cover up, because I hate my name. And yes, I know it's a girl's name, okay?"
I moved and someone fell over on themselves. I turned out of my nook in the cave and stared at the blurring figures, one moved quickly and turned in a flash of gold and disappeared.
I smiled, hhhhmmm, haven't had lion in ages.
I caught the big cat extremely lightly with my paw to avoid breaking his comparatively weak skull. I then picked him up and threw him out of the cave like a baseball. I looked to the other one, now a growling wolf.
Now this is what gets me, even after comfirming the popular puplic opinion the bear vs. lion = bear pawnage, this smaller one still attacks. I swiped the air with my heavy claws and hit the wolf with the side, slamming it against the wall.
I look at him and shifted to my human form. I popped out my claws and pulled out my knife to clean under them.
I smiled at the terror stricken Halfling, "So what do you and Jake there want in my cave?"
I saw his eye zoom up a few feet to the large pointed teeth in my mouth.
I had a guess to what he was thinking. "238"
"What?"
"That’s how many cows I've eaten"

Right, I realize it's been a while but I would like to get involved again. I find it helps my English grade to practice my spelling.
