Cloe woke with a severe headache. Her fingers and toes had a painful sting to them, to the point where moving them a centimeter sounded unbearable. She sat up surprised by the warmth that engulfed her body. Just a second ago she was clinging for dear life with every frozen aspect her body could manage.
“HIYA!” A girl around Cloe’s age jumped into Cloe’s face a huge grin on her face. “We thought you were dead, but then you moaned in your sleep. You talk a lot in your sleep, you know that? Oh, I’m Sora by the way! If you need anything I’ll be sitting over there. I hope that’s okay. I’ll talk to you in a bit then.” Before Cloe could answer the strange, hyper-active child Sora left her side.
Cloe looked around the place which she was in. She looked over and noticed Sora was no more than five feet away. “what an odd child.” She thought to herself before seeing the other two people sitting around the crackling fire. She turned to look at the boy.
“So you’re finally awake.” He stated without looking away from the fire. Obviously in deep thought.
“Yes, sorry, I’m Cloe by the way. Thank you for saving me.”
After a you’re-welcome nod the boy introduced himself as Prince and the girl next to him as Kari.
“So, why are you traveling across the ice too?” Cloe asked after a brief moment of silence.
“ We are on our way to Harmony. You ever heard of that place?” Kari explained.
Cloe stood up with excitement. “ I’m off to there as well!”
“Well then you better stick close by. You’re lucky the cold got to you and not some hunters. It’s dangerous to travel around like that on your own.” Prince lectured.
Cloe nodded and tried hard to keep the squeals of joy from escaping her lips. Harmony really did excist!
