I was just returning from a small scavenging mission when I saw A boy standing over Aditi. I began to run forward and pulled out my huge knife. When I was close enough to see that Aditi was dead and leaking red blood into the snow, I paused, shocked. How could she be killed? Even if she wasn't a good one, she was the only friend I had.
With a cry of anger I lept forward and slashed at the white haired boy. He caught my blade with his bow without even looking.
"H-How..."
"I don't want to hurt you too, shiori." He said. He turned his gaze to me and I saw his sincere eyes. I lowered my blade.
"Why did you kill her," I hissed.
"Because she was going to kill the one I love. Kasumi."
I lowered my head, ashamed that I had called such a ruthless person "friend." "I am sorry."
He shook his head. "Come with us. Follow us to Harmony. Help us protect the ones we love. They might begin to like you even," he joked and smiled. But I could hear his voice crack. He was a upset, probably for Kasumi. He was still a bit tense.
I flung the blade back into the sling on my back. Trying my best to look...friendly, I brushed the hair out of my eyes, smiled(akwardly), and said, "If you say so."
