Arriving at the hotel, a bit behind everyone was myself, Asuka, Zero, and his little friend. Sky handed us some keys, asking whom was rooming with whom. I felt torn between Zero or Asuka, but figured it would be best to room with Asuka so she didn't have to room with some stranger. LEt Zero room with his friend. I trusted him, and I was sure they had a lot of catching up to do.
"It'll be myself and Asuka," I told Sky. She nodded handing over the keys and we went off.
Asuka was looking around timidly. "Wh-what do you th-think a-about going t-to the h-hot tubs?" she asked me as we walked down the corridor.
I smiled. "Sounds great!" Luckily, our two rooms were close to each other, so I turned to Zero, "Do you guys want to meet out here in ten minutes? We can go to the hot tub together!"
Zero nodded, "That should be fine."
"Great," I smiled. "See you in a few."
With that, I turned and Asuka and I disappeared inside the room. It was nice, but then, I didn't stay in many hotels. I didn't usually have the money for something so expensive. It was a nice change!
"I'll change in the bathroom," Asuka told me. I noticed her stutter was getting better, especially around me.
I nodded and stripped, changing into the right attire. Running my hand through my hair, I smiled at my reflection. We had been on the road for a long time, and my face was maturing without my even realizing it. I looked older somehow, but I didn't mind; we had been through a lot lately. All the running was really paying off, and I had been fighting more than normal, too.
The bathroom door opened. "Ready?" Asuka asked as she headed to the door.
"Sure. And maybe Ben will be there," I teased.
Her face turned beat red as she looked down at the floor. I smiled as I joined her in the hall where the others were waiting and we headed down.
