~Echo~
I laid there numbly; I was so cold I couldn’t focus anymore. My ears twitched as I heard the soft rattling of the door handle. My mind was blank I didn’t even process the slow grinding of the door against the ground. It might have been another of Vana's men for all I knew since the blue eyed guard hadn’t moved still keeping his boot shoved against my side.
But instead of hearing another pair of boots there was clicking as something grew closer, fast. Within seconds the guard flew forward. I screamed half in surprise the other in pain as his boot crushed into my ribs. He collapsed into a mangled heep not far from me; the sudden overpowering stench of blood flooded my senses as a soft gurgling came from his throat. I heard a soft crack and the clanging of the metal knife against the cement. It echoed for a few moment but then fell utterly silent.
I watched him; he didn’t move but just laid there lifelessly. My heart raced as I heard hurried footsteps coming toward me. Every ounce of myself wanted to scream but I was so scared, I froze still. I barely saw the dark figure as it knelt down beside me. My breath caught waiting for whatever was to come. But instead of an awaiting bullet or blade; it was a soft touch barely a brush against my shoulder.
“Echo, can you hear me?” I heard a voice whisper; I turned my head best as I could the voice was nostlagic. I almost thought I was trapped in a dream when those same concern-written eyes looked down at me.
“Shadow?” My voice trembled. I struggled to lift my hand; he grabbed it. Tears streamed down my face in disbelief. "I-is it really you?" I choked on my words.
“Yeah Echo, it’s me I’m here.” His voice was heavy but his shoulder’s sagged with relief; he held me aganst his chest. I rubbed my eyes helplessly but the tears continued to wash over my face. Despite being half beaten to hell these feelings welled up inside me.
His hair hung like untied black curtains as he looked down at me. He rubbed his arm against his face; it looked like he was going to break down. Did he really worry that much? I hadn't felt emotions as strong as this since before the genocide of my pack. I truly loved Shadow.
It was short lived though; his eyes widened as he saw just how much damage that guard had really done to me. I felt suddenly self-conscious; my clothing was almost completely splattered in blood and the slash across my stomach was painfully obvious. I didn’t want him to see me like this; I didn't want to look weak.
Shadow eyes were furious. “He deserved to die; too bad he had to so quick.” He bit his lip; his hands trembling against my shoulders.
I watched him silently still finding it hard to comprehend that he was really there; my chest ached. I clutched my hand against it; I suddenly couldn't stop coughing. I plastered my hands over my face until the feeling slowly passed. I held one away looking at it; my entire palm was covered in blood.
“Echo!” Shadow laid me back down and stripped off his jacket; he tore the fabric in large pieces and tore out the string with his teeth. I didn't want to be on this floor anymore; I grasped for him like a little kid.
“Just hang on.” He sounded panicked. He slid the large strips under me hastily wrapping them around my stomach.
“Agh!” I gasped as he tightened them with the cord. He grabbed the sleeves and tore them apart tying it around my arm. Wrapping the remains of his jacket around me like a shawl. Hesitantly he arched me onto his back. I winced violently; tightening my stiff muscles.
"But what about your shoulder?" I didn't want to cause him any pain.
"Echo, you're injuries are all that matter; let's just get somewhere safe and wait for Nanuke." His voice was determind.

The taller dark haird one seemed to want to be bold. “He’s mine.” He let out a growl. I smirked, just another for the count, I guess. “I’ll hold him off while the rest of you guys go around.” He continued to watch me. I scowled, just what exactly did he think he was.
I sighed clacking my cane onto the ground; it seemed I would have to teach someone this thick-headed. I grasped the handle and pulled the blade from its sheath. Pointing the blade toward him; it glingted brightly in the dim light. What a shame that I would have to dirty it.
He lunged without a moment’s hesitation; I stepped back catching my footing in order to perceive his obnoxiously blunt attack. Sudden pain gripped my chest; he took advantage of my momentary falter. Pinning my blade against the wall; I scowled what a foolish miscalculation on my part.
“Everyone! Go now!” He yelled still holding me. I sighed, it was no matter once I was through with him; I could merely just trail after the rest. I raised a puzzled eyebrow as one did not budge.
"You didn't think you'd shake me, did ya, Ice?" He said grinning. So Ice was his name; not quite that creative but it didn’t concern me any.
Ice as he was called never lost his serious note. “You should go, Pierce.” He was tense; his blade trembled against mine. Not out of fear as most would be but merely anticipating my reaction.
"I will. But here." Pierce I assumed was his title threw a short dagger to Ice; I scoffed it would do him little good. Ice looked from the dagger to him rather perplexed; I rolled my eyes would this ever end.
"I wont need it while we're here. But, I do want it back, so make sure you win." Pierce continued. I almost laughed, I'm afraid I could not allow that.
Ice nodded. "Will do, Pierce." Though rather annoying it was rather interesting to fight someone who actually had the notion to defeat me.
Pierce waved and ran off; Ice watched him go. I had enough and swung my blade with all my force. Ice who had seemed to forget I was behind his balde jumped back, creating a short distance between us.
"Now that we are finished chatting; shall we get started?" I grinned; he returned his cold glare. I sighed I detested such boring expressions.
I stepped forward shortening the distance; Ice gripped his blade tightly.
"Game, start." I cooed and lept at him bringing my blade down.
