I couldn't believe we were moving so fast. My chest burned with each breath. Blood dripped down my cheek, and stained my shirt. The back of my shirt was stiff with dried blood. Every bone and muscle in my body ached. My breath was coming in raged gasps. Just moving sent fire through my body. How could I still move.

After just a few minutes I couldn't move anymore. I fell behind, not able to follow now. Suddenly I felt myself coughing. My knees buckled underneath me. I fell to the floor and proceeded to hack up a large quantity of blood. Maybe that damn bird would kill me yet.
