I froze in my tracks, thoughts immediately stopping with a sharp, off-key na that ruined the entire theme song...
Jeez, sometimes it felt like people were reading my mind. Laughing at me when I spaced out. It was so creepy.
I sighed loudly, hunching over and staring at my snow-coated boots that were soaking the stained and tattered carpet of the abandoned hotel.
Sooo...tiiireed...
"Raaauughhhhh...!!" I yawned, stretching and hunching over, latching onto whatever poor, unfortunate person who was in front of me.
In this case, it was Ennis. He yelped, jumping out of his skin and spitting out a string of incoherent, stammered profanities that ended in, "Kai?"
"M'sleepy."
He snorted, and with my eyes closed, I felt body heat emanating from his face. Yep. He was blushing. "Y'don't say? Then git yerself t' yer room an' sleep some! ...An' getoffa me!" He was really soft and warm to hug, despite his hard-material-ed, cold military jacket.
"Noo..." I whined quietly, getting sleepier and burying my face stubbornly in his shoulder. "You're comfyyy..."
He shuddered, and stood there rigid for a while until I heard him sigh. I felt a coarse, cold hand pat my arm gently, which was latched around his neck. It forced me to feel the jagged, newly-scabbed welts that I had left on his neck and I clung tighter, guilt making me want to sleep even more. "Damn. Stubborn. Brit." He emphasized every word as a new sentence. I heard the grin in his rough voice and smiled against his coat. "Fine..." he conceded, and there was a long pause while a girl, the leapard-boy's sister, I think, walked over and said hello to us.
I started to doze off spacing out to the rythm of their chatting voices, but my eyes snapped open as my arms were softly pried off of Ennis's neck and my feet were yanked off of the ground not roughly, but abruptly enough to make me yelp. My arms snapped up, clinging to whatever had picked me up, and I met the golden-brown eyes of my red-headed pillow.
Oh...Ennis was holding me. That explained a lot. He gave me a look, "Go on t' sleep, ya stubborn git. I'll git ya t' yer room, so relax a bit, will ya? Glory...can't have ya goin' t' sleep on yer feet like a horse, mate."
I shrugged, sleep fogging my vision and eyes as I rested my head back on his jacket. The last thing I remembered was Ennis complaining about how light I was, then it all faded into glorious sleep.

Pierce -
I glared warningly at Ennis as a girl walked over to us, and smiled as she introduced herself as Luna.
"I'm Pierce." If that Australian cretin got any closer to Kai, someones ass was gonna be kicked, and it wasn't mine.
We talked for a while, Luna and Abby chatting a little bit, and for a while, I forgot that I was busy being a defensive best friend/almost little brother. Yep. I was having a good time until Ennis picked Kai up and started carrying him around, bridal style.
FFFFFFFFFFFFF--WHATTHEHELLAREYOUDOINGYOUAUSTRALIANGITIOUGHTAKILLYOU--
"I'm gon' take li'l Sleepin' Beauty 'ere off t' a room. See ya, an' nice meetin' ya, Miss Luna." Ennis bowed a little and walked off, smiling like a sweet little kid.
I think they all noticed how angry I was, because Abby put a hand comfortingly on my shoulder and Luna smiled a little, "Are you alright, Pierce?"
I dunno what I said, but I think it was either 'ffffnomybestfriendjustgotcarriedoffintoasunsetbysomeforeigncreepandfffaughh' followed my spasmic twitching, or a quiet, subdued and twitchy, '...Yes. I'm fine...'
Luna gave me an understanding look, "Um...Are they..." she seemed to be worried about setting me off, "Together?" she asked soothingly.
I gritted my teeth, "Nope." I spat out. "And if I can help it, that stupid Outback idiot won't ever get his grimy hands on Kai."
She nodded, "You think...he's just gonna be no good for Kai, huh? And Kai is like a brother to you, so you don't wanna see him hurt?" I nodded tightly so she continued, sighing, "Well, I kind of feel that way, too, about someone. But...I can't help it if he really loves her, and if she loves him, too, then we should both be happy for them. We've gotta trust their judgment, you know?" she smiled a little.
I bit my lip and nodded. "Yeah...Yeah. You're right." I smiled, "Thanks, Luna. Let's hope our brothers aren't making mistakes..." I sighed.
The rest of the night went by in a blur, and I suddenly feel really tired. I hugged Abby tightly and said goodbye to Luna and walked off to my room.
I layed down on my bed, exhausted. Sky said I'd have a roommate for now...I wondered who it would be.
I don't know in my grin was annoyed or amused when Jake walked through the door, looking at me like he'd seen the devil himself.
Great. A perfect person to add on to the perfect night.
