"Ah. So m' no' th' only one? Neat." Ennis shrugged. He started to exclaim something but passed it off as a cough.
I calmly finished Jake's bandages and looked over at Ennis.
"Now, where are you hurt?" I asked and he opened his mouth probably to protest but I cut him off, "Don't lie either. I'm no fool."
He looked hesitant but stuck out his left arm after a moment.
Carefully, I took his hand and examined it as he grimaced slightly.
"Looks like you scraped yourself up and broke your fingers, possibly your hand, right?" I said letting go and rummaging through my pack again.
I found two really blunt throwing discs (couldn't think of anything better><) and took them out to use for splints.
Then I looked at Ennis's mangled hand again and grinned a little.
"Say, Ennis," I said, "You don't mind a little pain do you?"
"A 'ittle wha-" he started, confused, but I reached over and snapped his bones back into roughly the right alignment.
"BLOODY-!" he exclaimed and then clenched his teeth.
I shrugged and apologized, "Sorry but if we let your hand stay that way, it would heal crooked!"
Then I picked up the make-shift splints and asked Ennis to hold them on either side of his left hand with his right hand as I got the bandage roll to wrap his hand and arm in.
"Sorry but I don't have ointment or medicine on me so this will have to do," I said, tying off the bandage.
"I's fine. 'll live. Thanks," he said while moving and testing the flexibility if his arm.
I turned to Jake again, "Now, lion, need more bandages?"
His answer was cut off by a cry, "Hello?! Anyone?!"
That voice was familiar.
Ennis called out, "O'er 'ere!"
I heard footfalls as another person came running through the darkness toward us.
A girl with long, wavy, white-ish blonde hair dressed in a kimono, now somewhat torn, entered my field of vision.
"Ariel?" I asked, almost in disbelief. It'd been a while since I saw one of the old group members.
