Finally a Post!

I was beginning to think that I would never find anyone when I had heard voiced from deep within the cave. Slightly nervous, I had been careful when I had walked towards them. I was relieved to recognize Kasumi.

"Kasumi, that you?" I asked with disbelief.

She smiled and replied, "In the flesh!"

I returned the smile and said, "It's so good to see you! In here of all places, too."

"Weird, right?" she replied with a small laugh. Then she got serious, "You hurt anywhere?"

S"I think I scraped up my leg and did something to me ankle." I had been dumb and had fallen down a ledge in the cave. Now that I was thinking about it, it began to throb slightly.

Kasumi sat down in front of me to examine my wounds. She made me sit down on a rock. The scrape wasn't deep at all but I figured I had twisted my right ankle on in the fall from how it hurt to move it.

"Wait just a second," she told me as she got up to get a bag that was near Jake. She got out the bandages and two more blunt throwing discs to use for splints and wrapped up my ankle.

"There!" she sighed when she was done. "You should probably sit down and rest up until we can figure a way out of here. I don't think anyone's ready quite yet to move."

"Thanks, Kasumi," I told her with a small smile. She helped me move closer to the others so I could sit down.

The boy I sat down next to, I didn't really know him that well. "I'm Ariel," I told him.

"Ennis," he replied.

I smiled. "Nice to meet you." I was about to ask what animal he was when I figure out he was human, not a halfer like the rest of us.

Ennis and I chatted for awhile while Kasumi tended to Jake's wound. "So, what happened to you guys?" I asked finally.
