Ice Cream!

Walking around Harmony has always been my favorite past time, and now was no different in that regards. It was different in the regards that I was nearly plowed over by a girl whose hair was white with black highlights. It was an interesting combination, but I liked it.

"I'm so sorry! Are you ok?" the girl asked frantically. She seemed like she wanted to do something for me.

"Yeah I'm fine," I replied assuredly. No harm had come of it.

"You sure? Here, follow me," she told me.

I frowned and tilted my head to the side, my white hair falling over my shoulder. I watched her walk ahead of me. There didn't seem to be any room to argue. I shrugged and followed her anyway.

She led me into the park and hurried over to an ice cream vender and ordered us some ice cream. She hurried back over to me and handed me one of the cones she had just bought. I smiled and accepted the token before heading over to a park bench and sitting, the girl sitting opposite of me.

"So how are you? Do you like Harmony? I'm Alissa by the way, what's your name?" she asked excitedly.

She seemed to have a lot of energy, and I liked that about her. She seemed to be a good kid. I smiled at her before answering. "I'm well, thank you. I love Harmony, and I'm Ariel."

She smiled sheepishly. "Sorry about the twenty questions, but I like meeting new people."

I nodded. "I can understand that. I don't meet new people here very often, so it's a nice change," I replied. I licked the cone in hand before thanking her. "This is really good. Thank you."

"The vender here in the park is probably one of the best ice cream places in Harmony, and it's cheap, so that makes it even better!" she answered.

"I don't think I've ever had it here before," I said honestly.

"Well, I'm glad I was here for your first time!" Alissa grinned.

"Yes, big moment for me here; it would have been a shame to experience this alone," I teased with a warm smile.

She laughed before eating more of her ice cream. Alissa was a great person. How had I not met her before now? Better late than never, right?
