I AM SO FLIPPIN ANNOYED!!!!
Okay! So, not many people know this but I'm in the Alabama Ballet's production of The Nutcracker, by George Balanchine! *Shoots anyone who doesn't know who George Balanchine is* Anyways, I'm a Candy Cane this year, and I'm the second shortest. Also, I'm in B cast. BEing in B cast SUCKS because we get LESS practice time, LESS performances, NO opening or closing shows, and MORE criticism. I'm only in the second cast because I'm short. Its like, total BS because one of my besties (also really short) is really good and shes ALSO in B cast. The person who put in casts has something against short people.
ANYWAYS, today was our FIRST rehearsal with the company, and I was super excited. OF COURSE, they wanted to run A cast first, so we had to wait. (It was a 2 hour rehearsal, btw.) So we waited, and waited, and waited, and STILL didn't get to go!!! Finally, it was 5:00 P.m., the time we were supposed to get out, and B cast hadn't run a single thing! So, I got to spend a whole 2 hours of my life SITTING AROUND!!!!!!! I'm like, ticked off.
People are always saying that the second cast sucks and that we're not talented but I don't think thats always true! WE aren't REHEARSED, so WE don't KNOW it!!!! Yeah, they NEVER rehearse B cast, and then they yell at us and say that its our fault. That makes perfect since, right?
UGH! I'm so flippin miffed! Buuuuut, my mums making Hopple Popple, so I guess theres been an upside to the day.
