Christmas Eve was finally here. Halo put the gifts she had received from friends and family under her tree. She then grabbed her list and made sure everyone was covered. At the end of the list, two names came up. Aizen and Sephiroth. Those two hadn’t been around lately. Then again, Halo did kind of tell them to leave. She didn’t mean forever though. What she meant was to leave her property for that day. She walked to her closet and saw the gifts she bought for them. Tears fell from her eyes the moment they were visible to her. Her hands covered her face as she cried. Halo didn’t want to be alone this Christmas. Her mind went into a deep thought as to what tomorrow would be like. The words sad and lonely came up quite often. Her thoughts, however were broken by a knock on the door. She swiftly wiped her tears away and dashed to the door. When she opened it, she saw Aizen. He wasn’t holding another gift but rather, a card. He told her he was sorry. Never once did he take his eyes off her. At the end of his apology was when he finally looked down but looked back at her once more. He gave her hug and told her, “I’m leaving…..I will always love you, my beautiful.” With that he kissed her lightly on the lips and left. Halo closed the door and cried again. She slid down against her door with mixed emotions. An item was thrown across the room breaking as it landed at the other end of the room. Her eyes glared at the broken pieces and realized it was a vase she threw. A heavy sigh escaped her as she got up from the floor. Instead of attempting to clean up the broken pieces she went to her bed. Before she went to sleep, Halo read the card Aizen gave her. The front said “Merry Christmas” with a drawing of a cute snowman and snow girl exchanging gifts. Inside, he wrote, “I hope you have a very happy life. Don’t ever change, got that! Know that I Love you always. P.S. This card reminded me of you and how considerate you are. P.P.S. Happy New Year. Love, Aizen.” Halo’s eyes closed slowly once again with tears and soon she was fast asleep.
The morning was cold, considering the area was kind of tropical. Halo woke up earlier than usual like she did every Christmas. She walked to her living room and was greeted by her tree and presents. A smile slipped across her face as she grabbed her first gift. All the gifts she got this year were awesome. Some helpful, fun, and some that helped keep her warm for today. Halo stayed on the ground and messed with some of her gifts. Despite everything that had happened, she was happy. Yet she still felt something missing. Even with that feeling, she continued her day smiling. Later on, she sat on her couch watching Christmas movies. She never expected company today. Not a single person. Yet there was a knock on the door. Halo looked at the door confused. She walked to the door and opened it. Was this a dream, or was she really seeing who she thought she was seeing? Her eyes closed then opened. There he stood, silver hair, green, feline eyes, and beautiful porcelain skin. Sephiroth stood at her door holding flowers and a cute, medium size teddy bear with a bow wrapped around his neck. What was it about this moment that made Halo want to cry? Was it because he was here? She was so happy inside. Sephiroth then apologized about what him and Aizen did. He handed her the gifts he bought for her and a rare, soft smile came across his face. She just couldn’t believe it. He was here. Like yesterday, she started to cry. She hugged the man in front of her dearly. He hugged her as well telling her, “I love you. So much.” Halo realized they were still outside and with what little sense she had at the moment, brought themselves inside.
“Do you like your bear?” asked Sephiroth. Halo nodded as she hugged it tightly then fed the man in front of her, a cookie she made yesterday. He licked his lips after swallowing it. His hand reached for her face, and stroked her cheek softly. There eyes met. They both leaned closer to each other and kissed. Sephiroth’s other hand placed itself on Halo’s other cheek as the kiss turned more passionate. A few seconds passed and they let go of each other. The man’s feline eyes made contact with the bear as he asked, “Have you examined you doll completely?” Halo looked at him confused and proceeded to examine her bear. That’s when she finally noticed something around the ribbon. She undid the neat bow done on the doll and retrieved the item that was tied to it. Seeing what it was, her eyes widened and her heart skipped a beat. Sephiroth got down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage. “Without you, I’m nothing. Only with you, am I truly happy. You are my reason for living and are the only person in this world I would give my life for…… Marry me.” Halo nodded and a soft, secure, “yes” came out of her mouth. Sephiroth got up and held her securely in his arms. He grabbed the ring from her hand and slipped it on her finger.
“Merry Christmas Halo,” said Sephiroth softly in her ear.
“Merry Christmas to you too, Sephiroth,” replied Halo
They kissed each other again and fell asleep together in each others arms keeping each other safe and warm for the rest of there lives.
Merry Christmas!!!
