(This is based on a dream I had, hope you all like it~ Please tell me what you think of it~ Thank you and enjoy~)
Danika loved the little town she lived in with Eon and Angra, but she was lonely. She was closer to be human than any other Gijinka in town so she shared in their flaws. Most of the female Gijinkas in town were beautiful, inhumanly beautiful, but Danika wasn’t. She looked average, like a normal human.
Finally that truth got to her and she ran into Eon’s apartment, her home, trying to force down her tears. Eon watched her run by with a sad but knowing expression. He knew his adopted daughter well enough to understand her pain.
On the way to her room, Danika ran into another housemate, a tall, handsome man with large wings, a Honchkrow Gijinka named Honore. Honore glared down at her. “Watch where you’re going.”
Danika didn’t react to him like she usually did; instead she just slammed her bedroom door and fell heavily onto her bed. Honore glared at the door. “How dare that child.” Without a second thought he pushed open the door and marched over to the bawling blonde ball. “I demand an apology child.”
Through her tears and pained hiccups, Danika barely managed to squeak out. “Sh-shut up! Can’t you see I’m already upset enough?”
“I don’t care. I demand to be respected by you, child.” He crossed his arms over his chest and flexed his wings to show he was annoyed.
“Well I don’t care about you! All you do is disrespect us! Why do I have to respect you?” She sniffled and wiped away a few frustrated tears. “Can you please leave me alone?”
Honore pulled out his signature cane and stuck it under Danika’s chin, lifting up her head so she had to see his displeasure. She gritted her teeth to hold back more frustrated tears. “I’ll leave once you apologize for ruining my afternoon.”
“What the heck?!” Danika smacked the cane away, glaring at Honore. “I didn’t ruin your afternoon! You’re being immature! Now get out of my room and leave me alone!!” She looked away so he couldn’t see the tears streaming down her face.
But Honore wasn’t about to give up; he shoved his cane under her chin, harder than before, making her cough. “I said say you’re sorry.”
She coughed hard, holding her throat to try to calm the pain. “And I said leave me alone!” She coughed harshly but still glared at Honore with her intensely blue eyes. Honore had never met a woman with such a passionate fire in her eyes before Danika. She was stupid, not afraid of him or his power and that angered Honore, but there was something mixed in with the anger.
Eon opened the bedroom door before Honore could teach Danika to respect him. “Honore, please leave her alone for now. Come with me, I need help.”
Honore glared down at the foolishly brave child and yanked his cane away reluctantly. “Fine. You’re lucky this time child. But try this again and you won’t be so lucky.” Danika seemed unfazed by his threat, turning her head away from him. Honore followed Eon out of the room. “What do you need Eon?”
“You to leave my daughter alone. I’m sorry, but she’s horribly heartbroken Honore, please let her be alone for a little.” Eon tried to by sympathetic with his friend, while protecting his daughter.
Honore shook his head, annoyed and confused. “I can’t. It’s not natural. Danika isn’t supposed to be sad. It’s just not normal. She’s supposed to be bright and happy.”
Eon blinked slowly, surprised by the sincerity in Honore’s words. “Why don’t you tell her that instead of threating her?”
Honore looked away. “She frustrates me… I can’t ever say the right thing to her…”
Eon smiled softly, knowingly. “Try telling her all that.”
Honore looked embarrassed and almost sheepish. “I wouldn’t know how to.”
“Just try. Perhaps you don’t need to say anything at all.”
Honore slammed down his cane, frustrated, but Eon only smiled softly in return. “How can one child frustrate me so much!?” He ran a shaky hand through his short silver hair. “Why can’t she just understand what I mean to say?” While Honore continued to pull out his hair and internally explode, Eon returned to his studio, leaving Honore to stand in the hallway alone and confused.
Danika buried herself in her pillow, wishing she could just disappear. First he rejects her, then Honore yells at her, today wasn’t her day and she just wanted it to end already. She didn’t even react when the door to her room slowly opened again. Because the door was so carefully opened, she figured it was Eon or maybe Pace, another of her big brothers. But when the person spoke, as sweetly as they could muster, she was in shock.
“D-Danika...” Honore’s voice shook with emotions. When Danika didn’t respond, he felt anger boiling inside him. “Danika! Look at me! Now.”
Hot, frustrated tears formed in the corners of her eyes. “What do you want now?” Her voice was biting and cold and she refused to look at him.
Honore slammed down his cane, making Danika flinch; he was closer than he sounded. “I said look at me Danika!” Finally, slowly, she sat up and looked at him. His face was twisted and red with emotions she couldn’t understand. Was he really that angry about their little confrontation in the hallway? He shoved his cane under her chin and forced her face up.
“What do you want from me?!” Danika shrieked, frustrated and distraught, but not afraid.
Nervous as he was, and confused by his own feelings, leaned down until his face was almost on top of Danika’s, glaring down at her. She glared right back with her dazzling orbs that Honore couldn’t seem to forget. “You anger me so much!”
“Then why are you bothering me?! Get out of my face!” Danika’s words turned into an irritated hiss.
In one moment, before anyone could react, Honore twisted his hand into Danika’s long yellow hair and pulled her into a heated, desperate kiss. Danika’s eyes shot open as panic coursed through her. Less than three unsure heartbeats later, Danika brought up her hand and slapped Honore’s face away, full force. “WHAT THE HELL?! That was my first kiss!! You stole my first kiss!! I wanted my first kiss to be with a man I love! And who loves me back! I hate you!!”
Honore stumbled back, humiliated and furious. “BY ARCEUS! SMILE DAMN YOU!”
But his words stopped Danika’s rage. “W-what…?”
He shoved his shaky hand through his silver hair, trying to relax. “I said smile. I order you to smile. That should have made you smile.”
Danika blinked, confused. “S-smile? You want me to smile…?”
“Yes I want you to smile! You always smile!” He turned away from her. “I don’t know why I do, but I like your smile. I look forward to it anymore.” His face was red with anger, shame and embarrassment. This wasn’t going as he planned, but, then again, it never did with Danika.
“Why don’t you just ask me to smile like a normal man?” Rage still filled her, but she also was calming down. Seeing Honore so nervous and confused made her smile a little. He was kind of cute in his own little way.
Honore was blushing and fidgeting. “Because you never listen to me. You’re a stupid child who doesn’t respect authority. Why would you listen to me now?”
Danika’s face was flat, but her voice was sweet. “Well if you would just ask me kindly, instead of always demanding things, I would listen.”
Honore began to pace around the room, trying to calm himself, but failing completely. “Danika, will you please smile? For me?” Although he was straining his voice to force out the words, he sounded genuine.
His sweet behavior melted Danika’s heart, causing her to smile without knowing it. “You’re cute when you want to be Honore.” She giggled, it was a warm happy sound that brightened Honore’s day.
“I’m not cute you imbecile.” Honore grumbled.
“And the sweetness is gone already. Also! I’m still mad at you. You stole my first kiss. What the heck made you think I wanted to lose my first kiss to you?!”
“I don’t care. I wanted to kiss you, so I did.” Honore sounded aloof, but his blushing cheeks betrayed him. “And I’ll do it again if I so choose.”
Danika couldn’t help but giggle. “Get out of my room you dirty old creep.”
Honore walked back over to Danika. “Listen to me. Always smile okay? If not for yourself, then for me. Got it? Smile for me every day.”
Danika smiled softly at him. “Yes sir.”
“Also, I’ll take your second kiss now.” He took her shoulders and pulled her into another, softer, kiss. He was still rough, but also trying to show her kindness, mercy even. She smiled against the kiss and leaned into it. Honore dominated the entire kiss, but she didn’t mind, it didn’t hurt too much.
Danika smiled at him once the kiss was broken, an honest happy smile. Honore nodded.
“Much better. Keep doing that.”
