My eyes went wide with surprise.
“Oh my gosh, look at that fish!” I called to Kei. We figured out where the kidnappers took Hikaru, and we were on our way there now.
“Big fish..” Kei murmured. A giant cat-fish leaped into the air and landed without a splash. I was guessing it was magic.
“Mistress?” said a voice from behind me. Kei scowled and I turned around. A boy named Drake was there. He was nice, but Kei hated him for some reason. He kept popping up when Kei starts talking to me, but I didn’t mind.
“We are going to celebrate having Kei on this ship.” Drake stated. He didn’t even glance at Kei once while telling me I had to change into a dress they had gotten, and have my hair done. He said it was because we were guests of honor.
“I’m sure you’ll look beautiful.” He finished with a smile. Finally, he looked at Kei and dropped the grin.
“You. Your stuff is in your room. I’m sure it’ll be enjoyable.” Then, with another smile at me, he walked away.
“Why do you hate Drake?” I asked Kei curiously.
“He just gives me bad vibes.” He shook his head and left and I stared at his back. I turned to get ready, too. As soon as I got inside my room and put the dress on, a stylist came and did my hair. I never really styled my hair, but when they finished, I was transformed. My black ball gown was elegant yet a bit classical. My hair was in a bun and their was also a bit of glitter. They added some accessories too. Then, they brought out some heels.
“Wait, I have to wear those?” I asked. She just stared at me, waiting for me to slip my foot in. I gave in, and tried it. It fit perfectly. Then, before I could object, I was ushered hurriedly out the door. I stumbled and fell into strong arms while the door slammed behind me. I looked up to see Kei’s face looking more shocked then he had in a long time. I stood up straight, and laughed. Sure, he looked great, but his messed up hair looked awkward.
“Gee, don’t you ever comb your hair?” I joked. I fixed it for him. Then, before we knew it, we were attacked. By Drake and everyone else on the ship.
