Chapter 3: The dragon
As predicted, he was bothered about it all of the way back to the school ground. The return trip was surprisingly faster than the first time, even though they were more tired.
They were almost back to the school when David felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned around angrily, expecting a small child to be standing there. Instead, he saw him best friend standing next to him. He was squirming and he had a pained expression on his face. David looked at him with a confused expression on his face. As he watched, his friend started doing a little jiggy dance. He then understood what was wrong with his friend.
“Now?” He asked impatiently.
“Yes now!” The friend said loudly. David sighed.
He went over to the teacher. “Umm... Miss? My friend needs to pee.”
“Uh. Lovely.” She exhaled. “Fine, just go around that corner and be quick about it!”
David nodded and ran off. He grabbed the sleeve of his friend and rushed towards a tree that was out of sight of the path. The teacher called out for a rest, and the rest of the students sunk to the ground with an appreciative sigh.
David tapped his foot impatiently as he waited for the friend to finish. There was suddenly a yell.
