I sighed staring at the wall of drinks including Gatorade, Starbucks, many different kinds of soda, Vitamin Water, alcohol (which I completely ignored), and many other liquids. I was debating in my head between Starbucks and Vitamin Water.
"Zachie, hurry up!" my best friend Brittany said while standing at the register waiting for me to pick what I wanted. She had forgotten that it was my money that we we're spending.
I choose XXX Vitamin Water and head for the counter. For some strange reason, I lose my footing and fall forward, almost hitting my face against the edge of the counter. I feel time slowing down as I get closer and closer. Then I feel a hand on my back and chest.
"Woah there. Don't get hurt." said my savior. I stood up and got a good look at him. His eyes were a bright emerald green which offset his light brown hair, shaggy but stylish at the same time. He wore a bright orange sleeveless hoodie that made me want to rip off him and steal for my own. The hoodie was complemented with gray shorts that came just above his knees. "Hey buddie, you okay?"
"Yeah, I-I'm okay," I responded quickly.
"Good. You should really learn to watch your step," the stranger said to me with a smile.
"Yeah Zach watch where your goin'!" Brittany remarked.
"Yes mother..." I said jokingly. "Hey, do I know you? Because you look oddly famil-"
"Sorry I'd love to chat but I've gotta run. See you later!" He said running out the door in a hurry, jumping into a convertable with what I guessed to be a friend of his at the driver's seat.
"Damn.... I didn't get a name..."
"What? Did someone find a cutey to flirt with?" Brittany semi-seriously joked.
"No, it's just that he seems... familiar... like I've met him somewhere or read a-" Then it hit me.
"HOLY CRAP THAT'S MY OC AKARI!"
