Verona streetlights

She shut away a thought so grim
She called me, promising she'll come
The lights dimming, sink in the streets
The day is gone

From Venice, a mask, the carnival
She ended it with a withering voice,
The mascarade of her mind
Crushed by a dance she wasn't part of;

The show continued somewhere else, without her being too aware
The collumns, white, and cold, and silent
Her dress floats away behind the corners
of the ancient walls so proud
facing the moon and skies so strong
timelessly~

She promised she'd wait for me and write
a note for each star to caress her shoulders
until we'll meet again

and we'll run away
head for the seas, no matter how
so far so deep

she is ellegante and light
as a feather in the breeze
a midnight flower blooming in the music
of symphonies and rose scents

Verona streetlights, cover my soul with your dreams~
