He hated moving even though he had been moving all around for most of his life.He shoved his favorite black jacket into his duffel bag with an angry grunt and heaved the straps over his shoulders.
"Hey... you ready yet?" He yelled going down the steps and out of the broken down apartment buidling. His jaw flexed as his foot tapped annoyedly on the pavement waiting for her. First his sister came out, she was three years younger than him with short pink hair, her collection of headbands and her green eyes made her a typical teenage girl, unlike him who never seemed to fit in anywhere.
"Come on pinky get in the truck!" He said teasingly. ::
She frowned at him sticking out her tongue. "Pink is in Fox boy! At least I'm not some blond punk with an attitude problem." She shot back and hopped up into the truck sliding into the middle of the seat. He sniffed ignoring her.
Finally after another half hour, out comes his mother, dragging three suitcases full of nothing but her cloths and wearing a short dress that barely left anything to the imagination, her makeup smeared from sweating and to him at least she was getting too old to be doing this after sixteen years.
"Are you bringing the kitchen sink too Mom!"
She glared at him the way another kid would do. He shook his head and took the heaviest suitcase only to throw it roughly into the back.
"Careful! I've got breakables in there!" His mother yelled getting into the driver's seat after gently placing her stuff in the back.
"Yeah whatever." He grumbled getting into the truck. He slammed the door and made sure Akura was buckled. She protested that she was thirteen and didn't need help but just to annoy her he unbuckled her and then did it back up. She glared at him and crossed her arms making him laugh.
He hated his mother, hated his life... but he loved his sister. He often thought of running away but she would have been left to fend for herself. He sat back as his mother took off going twice the speed limit. He watched vacantly out the car door window at the city that he had called ...a place to stay for six months... blurring as they sped along.
