“Move it looser!” Jenny snapped slamming her locker shut nearly on her fingers. Rolling her eyes she just tucked the books for her first classes and of course the script she’d been studying under her arms and walked off. It wasn’t worth it to stand up to those types of people.
“Ms. Aster.” The teacher said as she entered the classroom. “Would you come here for a moment?” Mrs. Deter. Her homeroom teacher and a sweet lady. But only as sweet as a teacher could be, really. “I was hoping to ask you a favor.”
She shifted uncomfortably feeling everyone’s eyes on her. “What.”
She handed her a paper with a list of classes, most of which she had too “We have a new student who should be coming in soon. I want you to make sure he finds his way around ok?”
Her shoulder slumped. Ever since she helped one student find her way, the teachers all seemed to think she was a GPS for the school. “Ok.” She said quietly. What was she supposed to do, say no? Not her.
“Hey Disaster, still going to make a fool of yourself at drama club?” Lena Hodge asked in a hushed voice bringing giggles from her girlfriends who sat in front and behind her. They were like triplets, they were all blond and all in drama. She didn’t react or even look at her. “Stick to what you’re good at Disaster.” She continued. “Like props and staying in the shadows.” Again the triplets cackled.
“Ah here he is.” Mrs. Deter said clapping her hands to get everyone’s attention. “Class this is Rob Goodfellow. Mr. Goodfellow there is a seat by Olivia.”
