Robin Goodfellow

“You know.” Rob said turning back from the spectacle. “I heard Lena was in critical condition. And Ms. Alder has been frantic over the loss of props for the set. She’s not even sure everything will be ready in time for the spring festival.”

Again there was something in her head swirling like a wind but then it was gone. “I’m not feeling well. I think I should go.” She stood up but the floor shifted under her feet and she stumbled. First Connor gets hurt after making her move from her seat acting like his normal jerky self. Then Lena looses her voice and goes into the hospital, now Ms. Alder was having trouble with the play. What was going on?

“I got you.” She nearly lost her breakfast which was all she had on her stomach right then as Rob held her arm keeping her up.

“Mr. Goodfellow. Help Ms. Aster to the nurse please.” Principle Morgan said coming over from the group of football players all laughing and making noise.

“No problem. And call me Rob if you please.” She would have laughed at his tone, if she didn’t want to cry so much. He helped her out into the hallway. She pushed away from him and leaned her head in the cool tiles that started half way up the wall. The coolness helped. “It will pass. It’s just a side effect.”

When she turned around everything went silent. The noises from the lunch room were gone, the lights were all out except for the ones right above her. Then she noticed even the sunlight from the windows was gone. It was like coming to the school in the middle of the night. Then she remembered she wasn’t alone and looked straight at Rob. “What will pass?”
