Episode 1 : Moving!
Let's Share Something Sweet...
Episode 1: Moving!
Sometime in February…Sarawak, Malaysia…
At a small rented house somewhere in Kuching, a girl walked out of a taxi and she paused at her letterbox. She saw two parcels stuck in it and it was for her and her housemate. She entered the house and called her friend.
“Lina! We got mail!!!”
“Oh, Yuri. You’re home…” Lina walked towards her housemate. “What mail is it?”
“I don’t know…”
The two of them sat down and read their letters.
“Congratulations. The University of Seoul has accepted your application…bla…bla…aaahhh!!!” Lina exclaimed. “Oh my God!!!”
“I don’t believe this!” Yuri squealed.
“At last, after months! We’re it!!!”
Yuri stood and walked excitedly to the phone. “I’m going to tell Mel about this!”
Just when she’s about to touch the phone, it rang loudly. Yuri turned to Lina, surprised. Lina looked at her and shrugged.
“Hello?”
“Yuri!!! It’s me!!!”
“Mel! Hey, I was just about to call you…”
“Really? Well, I got some news…Like big news…”
Yuri grinned. “Me too!!! But, you go first…”
“Okay…Oh, my. Where to start…” Mel giggled. “Okay, um…next month I’m off to Japan!” Then, she screamed.
Yuri pulled away the receiver. “Gosh…Don’t scream in the phone, Mel.”
“Sorry…I’m too excited…”
“Well, guess what? Me and Lina headed to Korea!”
“Ohmigosh! This is too good! When are you leaving?”
“We don’t know. Haven’t finished reading the letter yet…But, we’ll inform you as soon as possible.”
“Great! See you later! Ohmigosh, Japan!”
“Bye!” Yuri hung up and looked at Lina. “Guess what. We’re off to Korea, Mel’s off to Japan!”
“Really?!”
Yuri nodded. “This is too good to be true!”
The two of them squealed and scream excitedly.
“Korea, here we come!!!”
One month later…In Kuala Lumpur International Airport…
“You guys are so lucky! In Korea, you’ll be able to meet TVXQ, Super Junior, F.T. Island, SS501…”Then, Mel grinned. “Well, at least I’m going to see my beloved Arashi…Matsujun…”
Yuri and Lina laughed.
“If we meet them, anyway…” Yuri hugged Mel. “If you meet the Arashi, say hi to them from us…”
“I will…” Mel laughed. “If of course…”
“Flight MH1237 is boarding its passengers. To all….”
Lina looked at her watch. “It’s time…”
Mel turned to Lina, there were tears in her eyes. “Well, goodbye…”
“Sorry if I ever hurt you or anything…” Lina smiled, holding back her tears.
Yuri hugged them both. “I can’t believe we’re separating…”
“Me too…” Mel told her. They let go of each other.
“We’ll see each other again, aren’t we?” Lina asked.
“Soon.” Mel answered.
And before they knew it, they were saying goodbyes…
March…Seoul, Korea!!!
“So, this is how Korea smells like…I like it.”
“Yuri, you’re being weird…” Lina told her. “Let’s wait for our taxi…”
The two of them sat down while waiting for their taxi. Yuri pulled out a brochure. There was a picture of a double story house and its interior.
“I like the way our house looked.” Yuri told while examining the brochure.
“Me too. That’s why I called earlier and rent it. It’s close to our campus and it’s convenient too.” Lina explained. “And it’s big too!!!” Yuri turned to her.
“You sure look through things, aren’t you?”
Lina grinned proudly. “I’m Lina, remember?” She put on her earphones and listened to her ipod. Then, Yuri heard screams from inside of the airport. There were tons of girls running and they crowd around the international arrival gate. They were chanting.
“Dong Bang Shin Ki!!!”
“We love you!!! Aaaahhh!!!”
Yuri perked up listening to the girls’ voice. “Lina! Let’s go in there! The TVXQ are here!!!”
Lina who didn’t listen to her, stood. “Hey, taxi’s here…”
Yuri stared at her. “Did you hear what I just said?”
“Hurry!” Lina told her. Yuri having no other choice, entered the taxi and sat next to Lina.
“I want to see the TVXQ…What’s wrong with you?” Yuri upset all the way to their house. Lina hums to the song in her ipod; she didn’t even hear a word Yuri said.
At Lina’s and Yuri’s place…
“This house is beautiful! Exactly like the one in the brochure!” Lina went upstairs. “Ohmigod!!! This is so cool!”
Yuri entered the house slowly, she was still upset. She headed upstairs and she saw Lina standing in a room. Lina looked at Yuri and grinned.
“Yuri, look! There’s sliding door between this two rooms! They’re connected! It’s so cool!”
Yuri entered and stared at Lina’s excited-self. She smiled slowly.
“This is so not you, Lina. It’s weird.”
Lina smirked. “Shut up. Pick a room. This is mine.”
Yuri walked to the other side of the sliding door. “This is mine.”
They both grinned.
Yuri and Lina unpacked their stuffs and had an instant noodle brunch. Suddenly, a sleek black van stopped in front of their neighbors’ house. Then, walked out five guys and they headed straight in.
“Oh, dear…It’s guys living beside us, Lina…”
“Who cares? Hurry, we got loads to do…”
Evening / Night…
Yuri and Lina were watching the television. It was Star King and the special guests were the Super Junior. Suddenly, Lina’s computer beeped. It was Mel requesting for a chat online.
Lina and Yuri excitedly clicked “yes” button and there was Mel’s face broadcasting online from Japan.
“Girls! Miss you guys so much already…”
“Mel!!! We miss you too. How’s Japan?” Lina asked.
“Awesome! I’m staying at the campus dorm. What about you guys?”
“We rent a house.” Yuri told her, proudly.
“So cool! Met any hot Korean guys?”
Lina and Yuri laughed. “We haven’t met anybody just yet. We’re too busy unpacking our stuffs…”
“Oh. What were you doing just now?”
“Watching Star King…Not online…”
“Awww! Meanie! Hodong-oppa!” Mel exclaimed. “Tell me more…”
“Super Junior was their guest…”
“Really? How Sungmin looked?”
The three of them talked and talked late into the night…
Almost midnight…
“If only we be able to meet the Super Junior and TVXQ…that’ll be awesome…” Lina told Yuri on their way upstairs.
“We would if you didn’t rush me into the taxi…”Yuri told her.
“Sorry, alright? I didn’t hear you that time…”
“Whatever…” They entered their room with the sliding door open. “You know what…”
“What?” Lina sat on her bed while Yuri paused at the sliding door.
“Now that we’re in Korea, let’s practice speaking in Korea…”
Lina smiled. “Yeah, sure…”
Yuri closed the sliding door. “Goodnight, Lina-sshi…” (Hangul)
“You too.”
“First night in Korea, I’m going to make a wish…” Yuri closed her eyes. “Please give me the chance to meet my beloved artist…”
Lina hugged her stuffed teddy, wishing the same thing…
Little did they know…Their wish was granted earlier before it was made…
