Episode 2: Our Neighbours…
A couple of days later in Korea…
Yuri was preparing breakfast while Lina was drying the clothes outside. Line kept eyeing the neighbours’ on her left. The five guys living there seemed to be so quiet. They barely even show themselves. While the neighbours on her right was a couple of old folks who were very sweet and friendly.
“I wonder whether these guys are serial killers…”
Then, a guy walked out. He’s wearing jerseys with cap and hoodie. It seems like he’s exercising. Lina stared at him. He looked like Xiah Junsu from the TVXQ.
“Just because I’m in Korea, everyone I see is TVXQ and Super Junior…I’m mad…”
He turned and realized that Lina was looking at him.
“Uh…hello.” He said…in English…
Lina looked at him. “Hello…”
“Just moved?”
“Yeah, two days ago...” Lina answered in Hangul to indicate that she can speak in Korea. He looked surprise and impressed at the same time.
“Oh…welcome to Korea…”he told her.
“Thanks. Nice meeting you…” Lina bowed and smiled.
“You too.” He bowed and put on his glasses and hoodie. Then, he jogged away continuing his exercise.
“I guess they’re not serial killers…” Lina smirked and continue drying the clothes.
Inside the house, at the kitchen…
Yuri was still cooking when Lina entered.
“Yuri, I saw a guy looked like TVXQ’s Junsu while putting out the dryings.”
“Eh? What guy?”
“Our neighbour…”
“Impossible, Lina…”
“Like I said, ‘a guy looked like ‘Junsu’. Not Junsu…”
Lina sat at one of the dining stool and turned around at Yuri.
“Are you done yet? I’m hungry…”
“Almost. Help me cut this, will you?”
“Sure…”
Next door…The guys’ house…
Junsu was just returned from his quick exercise when Changmin appeared from the kitchen.
“Morning,” Changmin told him. Junsu nodded. Changmin sat at the couch looking at Junsu cooling down. “Dude, I saw you talking with a girl before.”
Junsu looked up at Changmin. “What?”
“I saw you talked with a girl next door. Who is she? I thought no one is living there…”
Junsu sat down. “Ah…her. She just moved. Our new neighbour, I guess.”
“New neighbour? Is she a fan?” Changmin asked.
Junsu sighed. “I don’t think so. It seems like she doesn’t know me…”
Changmin stands up and walked to the door. Junsu turned to him. “Where are you going?”
“I want to meet her.”
Then, the others came. Yunho looked at Changmin who hold the doorknob.
“You. Where are you going?”
“Next door. We got new neighbour. She’s a girl too!”
“Really?” Yoochun asked. He looked at Junsu. Junsu sighed and he nodded.
“Cool! Let’s meet her!” Jaejoong rushed to the door and all four of them went out. Junsu saw them sighed and followed.
The girls house…
Lina was serving their breakfast on the table when someone rang the doorbell. Lina and Yuri looked at each other.
“Who could it be?” Yuri asked.
“I don’t know…”
Lina walked over and opened the door. Yuri followed closely behind. It was that Xiah Junsu looking guy with his other friends…He’s still in his exercising outfit.
“You…” Lina said. Yuri kept quiet. Her eyes were rounds because those guys looked like her favourite boyband, TVXQ. But, it’s impossible…Isn’t it?
“Yup…Uh…sorry to suddenly interrupt you and your friend…” he started. “It’s just…we thought…we should come and do some proper greeting…”
“Oh. It’s okay…Come in, you guys had breakfast?”
“Err…not yet…” he answered uncomfortably. Lina smiled.
“Come. Let’s have breakfast together.”
“Are you sure that’s alright?” he asked, raising his left eyebrow.
Lina nodded and all of them walked towards the kitchen.
“Ah, I almost forgot…Your name?”
“Right. I’m Lina. She’s Yuri.” Yuri smiled.
One of his friends poked him. “Don’t forget to introduce us…”
“Sorry. This is Max or Changmin. Your preference.” He nodded to the guy who just poked him. “This is Micky Yoochun.” Micky pouted adorably. “This is Yunho…” Yunho took off his cap and nodded.
“Hello. Nice meeting you…”
“This is our hero, Jaejoong. Coz he can cook. He keeps us all fed and alive…” Jaejoong smirked. “…and I am Xiah Junsu…”
Lina and Yuri turned to look at each other. Both shocked and surprised that the guys they thought look like TVXQ members were actually the real TVXQ! And…they’re neighbours! Like…next door!!!
“Anything wrong?” Yoochun asked as they settled down at the dining table.
“Nothing.” Lina answered quickly.
“Where you two from?” Changmin asked.
“Malaysia. The cat city…Kuching, Sarawak.” Yuri answered.
“Just the five of you living next door?” Lina asked still unsure she’s awake from her dreams.
“Nope. There’s a lot of us living there. We fill every space of the house. Unlike you two…Big house, but small numbers…” Junsu told her.
“Oh, well. Girls love small clique.” Yuri replied.
“You know, why don’t you guys come for dinner?” Yunho suggest.
“Eh?” Lina and Yuri looked at all five of them.
“Yeah. That’s a good idea.” Jaejoong exclaimed.
“You guys could meet our other housemates, okay?” Yoochun told them.
“Uh…”
“Come on, it’ll be great…” Junsu persuaded.
Lina and Yuri looked at each other, holding a grin.
“Okay…we’ll be there…”
All five of them smiled, enough to melt every girl in the world.
After breakfast…
“Thanks for the breakfast…It was great and very delicious…” Changmin smiled.
“No problem…” Yuri replied.
“If you don’t mind, we can cook together sometimes…”Jaejoong told her.
“Okay.” She grinned.
“Well, don’t forget to come tonight…”Junsu told them.
Lina and Yuri nodded. “We won’t.”
“Bye.”
Then, the two of them closed the door. They looked at each other, both saying to each other telepathically. “Don’t scream or they’ll know we’re their fans…”
At the TVXQ house…
“Do you think they know us? I mean, we’ve held concert in Malaysia before…” Yoochun asked.
“I don’t know…They seemed casual and calm when we mentioned our names.” Changmin replied.
“Yeah. Maybe they don’t know us.” Yunho said.
“Well, that’s good…I mean, they’re not our fan and everything…”
“You’re right, Hero. We can just live here normally without thinking about raiding fans or hugs and kisses.” Then, Junsu chuckled.
“Enough about that, let’s get ready for the others arrival.” Yunho told them. “Hero, you handle the food…”
“Oh, great. Can I call Yuri over?”
“Why, Hero? Miss her already?” Yoochun teases.
“No…I want her to help me cook…”
“Just admit that you like her!” Changmin played along.
“Now that’s what I call ‘love at first sight’.” Junsu claimed.
“Shut up!”
Meanwhile…
“Alright…” Yuri breathed. “Should we tell Mel?”
Lina sighed. “I don’t know…”
“What do you mean?” Yuri turned to her. “We must tell her about this! She’s gonna be thrilled!”
“I get it! But, we’ll tell her later.”
“Why?”
“I don’t know, it’s just…It’s better…Okay?”
“If she’s mad we’re not telling her earlier, I’m going to blame you…”
“Fine. Whatever you said.” Lina sighed again. “We’re not dreaming, aren’t we?”
“I don’t care. All I know, if it is a dream…I don’t want to wake up…forever!” Yuri told her. She turned to Lina again. “When I looked at Jaejoong, I was like…’Omona! He’s here!’.”
Lina laughed. “I know. And tonight? We’re dining with them and their housemates!”
“Then, we have to act like we don’t know them, right? I mean…”
“Yeah, it’s best we do that.” Lina stood. “Hmm…I’m going to find myself a good outfit for tonight.”
“Me too!” The two of them giggled and laughed enjoying their sweet neighbourhood.
The TVXQ’s house…
“Everything’s ready?” Yunho asked his buddies.
“Yup. Except Lina and Yuri haven’t arrived just yet…” Jaejoong claims.
Then, the doorbell rang. Yunho opened the door and the two of them smiled. “We were wondering about your arrival.”
“Really?” Yuri asked, a little too excited.
“Um, where’s your friends?” Lina asked looking around.
“They haven’t arrived.” Yoochun answered. All of them settle down at the living room.
“The interior of this house is different from ours…” Yuri said. “It’s a lot more spacious.”
“Yeah. We renovated it for a bit. It’s to fit us all in here.” Jaejoong smiled at her. Yuri tried to hide her blush.
“Um, I almost forgot. Here.” Yuri gave a paper bag. Inside was a bottle of a blue cocktail. “We thought we should at least bring something.”
Jaejoong took it and smiled. “Thanks. That’s very thoughtful of you…”
Just with that, Yuri’s life was complete.
Suddenly, there were sounds of cars outside and Changmin peered out through the window. “Oo…they’re here!”
Someone rang the doorbell and Junsu opened it. Everybody stood to greet them. “Guys, welcome! How’s Thailand?”
“Let us settle in first…” A guy with a crew haircut said. He stopped right in front of the door causing the others unable to enter.
“Kangin, move will you?” A smaller guy told the crew haircut guy.
“Wait, alright? Junsu, help me with this bag…” Junsu move over and helped the crew haircut guy. Then, this guy slumped in the sofa and he sighed. “Gosh, I’m tired…”
Then, his other friends entered. Yuri and Lina who was standing at the dining table just stared. The smaller guy just now sat beside the crew haircut guy. “Me too, dude. I need a big fat sleep…”
“Hey, Eunhyuk! Take your bag yourself! Nobody’s your maid here…” A guy wearing thick glasses said. The smaller guy turned to him.
“Aww, Yesung…Help me just this once, okay?”
“God! I’m through…At last, home sweet home…” This guy was wearing pink. A very demeanour looking guy wrapped his arm around the pink guy’s shoulder.
“Well, Heechul…Back to your pink bed, huh?” he said.
“I know, Siwon. We’re back!!!” Then the two of them laughed. A guy with a pair of headphones around his neck yawned.
“I miss Korea…”
“Hyung, move…”A guy with a black leather jacket told the headphone guy.
“Oh, sorry Kyuhyun…”
“Hey, Yoochun! Help me, please…” This guy tied his hair in two small ponytails. He even looked like a girl!
“Sure, Leeteuk.”
“Hyung, your bag!”
“Ah, thanks Kibum…”
“Ow! My toe!”
“Sorry, Ryeowook…”
“Careful, Hankyung…We don’t want any accidents…”
“Of course, Yunho.”
“My fridge!!! I miss you!” A fat guy said. He was running towards the kitchen but he stopped seeing two girls standing still at the dining table. “Oh,God! Who are you? Please don’t eat me!”
All the commotion of the house stopped and everybody turned to look at the fat guy. Then, their eyes moved on to Yuri and Lina.
Jaejoong slapped his forehead. “I forgot! This is our new neighbours.” He walked over and he stood next to Yuri. “Sorry. This is Yuri-sshi and this is Lina-sshi.”
“They’re from Malaysia and they can speak in Korea…” Yunho informed them.
The guy with the ponytails walked and held out his hand. “Hello. I’m Leeteuk.”
“Uh, hello.” Lina said, shaking his hand.
“Sorry about all this but…we’re just returned from Thailand and…”
“We understand…” Yuri assured him.
“Well, I’ll just introduce the others to you…” He turned and point. “Well, this is Shindong. He loves food.” The fat guy waves. “The one rubbing his foot is Ryeowook. The guy in the red coat is Hankyung. The one in the grey coat is Kibum. The guy with the guitar is Sungmin. The black jacket is Kyuhyun. The headphone guy is Donghae. The guy in the long robe is Siwon. Beside him the pink guy is Heechul…that one…” he point to the smaller guy. “…is Eunhyuk. The one with the glasses is Yesung and the lazy guy is Kangin. Can you get everybody?”
Lina and Yuri nodded slowly. Both of them were too petrified to talk. First the TVXQ and now Super Junior?! And…they’re neighbours! Like…next door!
It’s impossible!!!
