Episode 4: Getting Along
Breakfast at the girls’ house…(Weekdays…Um, Monday perhaps?)
“This is ‘Laksa Sarawak’. Made by myself. Hope you guys love it.” Mel told them in English. The TVXQ and Super Junior stared at the ‘laksa’ and looked at Yuri and Lina. They grinned.
“It’s a famous noodle in hometown. It’s very special. Only a good cook can cook it deliciously. And Mel’s one of them. Though she hates to cook.” Lina explained.
Note : What Lina said about that good-cook-thing is true…One ingredient mistake can ruin the whole laksa…It tastes better than it looks! If you want to try ‘Laksa Sarawak’, come to Mel’s (Hikaru’s) house. Her mum cooks the best!
They stared at the ‘laksa’ again.
“What’s it called again?” Leeteuk asked.
“’Laksa’.” Yuri answered.
“’Laksa…’.” Leeteuk repeated.
“‘Laksa’.” Lina repeated.
“‘Laksa’?” Kyuhyun asked.
“‘Laksa’.” Hikaru prompted.
“’Laksa…’.” Ryeowook followed.
“That’s right. ‘Laksa’.” Yuri smiled.
“ Aaaa…‘Laa~~~ksaaa~~~’.” All of them said.
Shindong was the first person to try it. He slurped his ‘laksa’ and he finished it in no time. All of them looked at him, waiting for his opinion. Mel stared hopefully.
“This is so delicious!!! Any refill?” He asked Mel. Mel looked at Yuri and Lina.
“He wants a refill…” Lina told her. Mel beamed and smiled. Mel took Shindong’s bowl and she moved to the stove to refill Shindong’s ‘laksa’.
The others tried the ‘laksa’ and they seemed to love it just like Shindong did. Leeteuk stopped slurping his ‘laksa’ and looked at Lina who sat opposite him.
“Lina-sshi, I want to ask you something…”
Lina turned her fork in her ‘laksa’. “What’s that?”
“Are the three of you busy tomorrow?”
Lina looked up at him. Yuri who sat beside Lina stopped eating.
“I don’t know. I think we’re free. Why?”
Leeteuk grinned. “Well, we thought of taking you girls for a small tour.”
“A tour?” Yuri asked. Leeteuk turned to look at her. He nodded.
“Yeah, I mean…you guys are our neighbours. So, we thought we want to…you know…do something together to get along.”
“Besides, you guys always invite us over for breakfast and lunch…” Ryeowook piped in. “Hikaru-sshi! Some more, please!!!”
Note : That the TVXQ and Super Junior calls Mel with her Japanese name…
“So, what do you guys think?” Leeteuk asked. Yuri and Lina looked at each other.
“Why tomorrow? Why not on the weekends?” Lina asked. She can guess the answer but she just want to stall some time…
Leeteuk stirred his ‘laksa’ looking for excuses. “Because…um…on weekdays, the zoo and the beach are not crowded with people…” he told her. “…and fans…” he whispered the last two words.
Lina and Yuri who didn’t hear his last two words, grinned. “That sounds great.” Lina told him.
“So, you girls going?” he looked at them. They nodded.
“Yeah.” Yuri smiled.
Meanwhile…
“Junsu-oppa. Here’s your ‘laksa’…” she said in Japanese. Mel handed Junsu his second bowl of ‘laksa’.
Junsu took his ‘laksa’ happily, though he doesn’t understand a word she’s saying. He grinned. “Thank you…” he replied in Hangul.
Note : The truth is, the TVXQ can speak and understands in Japanese. But, to add the humor in this story, they will not know any Japanese at all. To TVXQ fans, please don’t get mad at us…
Mel looked around and happy to see everybody was enjoying her ‘laksa’. Except one person…
“Um, Kibum-sshi?” Mel said slowly. He looked up at her.
“Yes?” He speaks in English…
Note : To those who’s reading…if you don’t know, Kibum from Super Junior can speak in English…
“You’re not touching your ‘laksa’. You don’t like them?”
Kibum smiled. “No. I don’t like the cook…” Kibum didn’t realise his grammar mistake. He was trying to say that he doesn’t like foreign food but…he missed the ‘ing’ behind the word ‘cook’. So, Mel misunderstands. Mel thought Kibum said he doesn’t like her.
“You don’t like the ‘laksa’, you mean?” Mel tried to think the other way around.
“No. It’s just I don’t like foreign cooks.” Kibum smiled at her.
Mel thought Kibum tried to press on that he doesn’t like her. Mel is an easily upset girl.
“You say that one more time…”
“I-don’t-like-foreign-cooks.” He pointed at his ‘laksa’. “This. I don’t like the cook. Got it?” He looked at Mel again.
Mel grabbed Kibum’s ‘laksa’ away from him. Kibum stared at her.
“Fine. Then, don’t you ever eat any of my cooking.” Mel turned away. Kibum stands up and followed Mel to the kitchen.
“What are you doing? I said I don’t like the cook.” Mel stopped walking and turned to him.
“Well, I guess I don’t like Kibum!”
Everybody stopped eating and looked at Mel and Kibum in the kitchen.
“What’s the matter with you? Crazy?” Kibum said. He didn’t mean it really…
Mel who is a very emotional girl put some ‘laksa’ gravy on Kibum’s white shirt. “That’s for calling me ‘crazy’.” Mel smirked, satisfied and she put the bowl in the sink. She walked pass Kibum and Kibum turned to her.
“Hey!” Mel turned to Kibum. He grabbed Eunhyuk’s orange juice and he splashed the juice on Mel’s Hello Kitty shirt. “Fair and square.”
Mel gasped.
“Kibum!” Leeteuk start to stand up. The others just stared.
Mel glared at Kibum. “This is my favourite shirt!”
“Mine too.” Kibum told her.
Then, the two of the started to argue. They even moved on to pulling each other’s hairs. Leeteuk walked over.
“Kibum, stop it! This is so not you!”
“Mel, that’s enough!” Yuri cried.
“You crazy girl!” Kibum yelled.
“Anata baka!!! (You idiot!).” Mel screamed.
All of them stared at Mel and Kibum.
“I never seen Kibum like that…” Hankyung informed.
“He never did…” Yesung told him.
When Yuri and Leeteuk pulled them apart, they stopped to kill each other.
“Okay. Now apologize.” Leeteuk told Kibum. Kibum just stared at Mel with anger.
“Apologize, Mel…” Yuri told Mel.
Kibum and Mel let go of each other from Leeteuk and Yuri. They looked at each other and then, they jumped on each other again.
“Stop it!!!” Yuri cried. But, Mel and Kibum don’t seem to care.
“Baka! (Idiot!).” Mel told him.
“Crazy!” Kibum replied.
Lina sighed. “It’s no wonder really. Kibum is always Mel’s least favourite in Suju…”Lina said in her native language. “Among all, Kibum’s the last on the list…” All of them looked at Lina.
“What did you say just now?” Yunho aksed.
“Ah? Nothing…”
“Yeah, right. Mad girl…”Kangin said under his breath. But Lina heard him.
Note : Mel and Kibum still arguing and Leeteuk and Yuri still trying to stop them…
“Excuse me?” Kangin looked at Lina. “Did you just say I’m mad?”
Kangin nodded. “Yup.” He answered casually.
“Kangin-sshi. Take that back.”
Kangin chuckled. “Whatever.”
“I’m being serious.”
“No way.”
Lina smirked. “Kangin-sshi, you’re jealous of me aren’t you?”
“What?”
Now, some of the attention turned to Kangin and Lina.
“You’re jealous of me! That’s why you keep picking on me!”
Kangin laughed. “Why would I be jealous of you?”
“I don’t know! Maybe I’m just better than you?”
“Oh, really?”
“Yeah! First the newspaper and now this?” Lina looked at him.
Kangin sighed. “Lina-sshi, please stop being mad.”
Lina chuckled. “Well, Kangin-sshi, please stop being jealous!”
Kangin start to stand up. “I’m not jealous!”
“Then, why you keep picking on me?”
Kangin waved around his hand. “It just amuses me, alright?”
“In other words, you’re jealous.”
“What’s that got to do with everything?”
“Everything!!!” Lina yelled. She stands up to face him.
“See? Now, you’re very mad!”
“I’m mad, coz you make me sick!!!”
Yunho and the others looked at each other and shook their head. Suddenly, an apple headed straight to Yesung’s face. But he manages to dodge and the apple hit the wall behind him. Yesung looked up and he realized that Lina and Kangin were having an ‘apple’ fight.
Leeteuk and Yuri who had given up on Kibum and Mel walked towards the others. They pointed at Kangin and Lina who had moved on to the living room. Leeteuk looked at Yunho.
“What the…”
Yunho sighed, “I don’t know…”
Then, a vase in the living room fell to the floor. But, it didn’t break. Obviously, Lina’s apple had missed its target, Kangin.
“Lina is mad…Lina is mad…” Kangin sang…
“I’m gonna get you!!!”
Then, Kibum and Mel moved into the picture.
“Your face got ‘cocky’ written allover it!!!” Mel shouted.
“Well, your face got ‘crazy’ written allover it!!!” Kibum shout back.
Yuri slapped her forehead. “Oh my god…”
Yunho looked at Leeteuk. “Well, any plans?”
Leeteuk sighed. “Are you girls busy today?”
Yuri turned at him. “Why?”
“I think we should just do the get-along tour today…”
Then, an unidentified item breaks. Perchang!!!
“Kangin-sshi!!!”
Yuri nodded. “Yeah, let’s do it today…”
Immediately after the breakfast…At the lawn…
“So, everybody’s here?” Leeteuk asked.
“The ‘bestfriends’ are not here yet…they’re still in the house…” Jaejoong told him.
“Who?” Hankyung asked.
“The ‘bestfriends’?” Yuri looked at Jaejoong.
Jaejoong laughed. “Yup. Kibum, Hikaru and Kangin, Lina.”
They all laughed.
“Yeah, that’s true…” Yuri said between her laughters.
“I guess we have to divide ourselves. I mean, we can’t transport in one car…” Changmin told them.
“Yeah, I want to be with Yuri-sshi…” Heechul put his head on Yuri’s shoulder. Yuri pressed a grin. I must act casual, she thought.
“I suppose the TV-“ Yesung stopped himself immediately. “-the five of you…” he pointed to the TVXQ one by one. “-use the van. The Su- rest of us…will use the minibus…”
“Yeah. That’s sounds good.” Kyuhyun told him.
“What about us? We can’t drive…”Yuri said. “We don’t have car lisence in Korea.”
“About that…I have an idea…” Eunhyuk said.
All of them looked at him.
“What?” Yoochun asked.
“Hehehe…” A mischievous smile spread over Eunhyuk’s adorable face.
In the minibus, on the way to the zoo…
“Are you sure that’s a good idea, Eunhyuk-sshi?” Yuri asked, worried.
“Sure!” Eunhyuk turned around and looked at Yuri. Eunhyuk was sitting in front of Yuri’s seat. “It’ll be good for their relationship. Besides, this tour is for all of us to get along right?”
“I don’t know…I have a bad feeling about this…” Yuri replied.
Heechul sighed. “Yuri-sshi, forget about that…Okay? Let’s just have fun…”
Yuri turned to look at Heechul’s gorgeous face. She smiled and nodded. “You’re right, Heechul-sshi. Let’s just have fun!”
“Sungmin! Turn the volume louder!” Jaejoong cried. He was at the aisle, standing beside Yuri.
Heechul stands up and move from his seat which was beside Yuri. His seat was at the window. He walked to the aisle and face Jaejoong. “What are you doing here?” He asked Jaejoong. “You’re suppose to be in the van with Yunho and the others…”
Jaejoong glared. “I want to be with Yuri-sshi.” He sat at Heechul’s former seat.
“Hey! That was my seat! Move!” Heechul pulled Jaejoong’s arm. The two of them start to argue. Yuri sighed and she move to sit next to Leeteuk. Heechul and Jaejoong didn’t realize her disappearance.
“You think they’ll be alright?” Leeteuk asked.
“I don’t know. But, I expect Heechul’s gonna win.” Yuri said.
Leeteuk turned to her. “l’m asking about Lina and the others.”
Yuri looked at him. “Ah, sorry. About them…”Yuri sighed again. “I doubt it…”
Meanwhile at their house…in front of the lawn…
Mel and Lina walked out of their house. The two of them realized nobody was standing there. They looked at each other.
“Eh? Where have they gone?” Mel wondered.
“Don’t tell me they’re leaving us!” Lina pulled out her phone and speed dialed Yuri.
At the same time, Kibum and Kangin walked out. They were also surprised to see only Mel and Lina were standing there.
“Where’s everybody?” Kangin asked in Hangul.
Mel just stared, she didn’t understand him. Lina ignored him. She was still trying to reach Yuri.
Kibum pulled out his phone and he speed dialed Leeteuk.
“Hello?” It was Yuri, answering to Lina’s phone.
“Where are you guys?” Kibum asked Leeteuk.
“Oh, we’re on our way to the zoo…” Leeteuk answered.
Lina groaned. “Why did you guys leave us behind?”
“We plan to go earlier. We can’t wait for the four of you.” Yuri explained.
“But, you don’t have to leave us behind!!!” Kibum yelled.
Leeteuk sighed. “Calm down…Don’t yell in the phone…”
“You guys left us!!!” Lina screamed.
“We’re just going to the zoo. Not New York. You guys can catch us in no time.” Yuri told her.
Kibum blinked. “Ah. Right. Sorry, hyung…”
“You almost make me deaf.” Leeteuk complained.
“Now what?” Lina asked.
“Use your car and Kangin’s. Drag Hikaru and Lina along. Go to the zoo and we’ll meet at the entrance. Okay?” Leeteuk told.
“What?!!!” Kibum yelled.
“In a car with Kangin?!!! You’re mad!!!” Lina yelled.
“We almost reach the zoo. See ya.” Yuri cut the line.
“Leetuk-sshi?” Kibum looked at Kangin.
“So?” Kangin asked. “What did he said?”
Kibum sighed. “We’re just gonna meet them at the zoo.”
“Using our car?”
“Obviously.”
Kangin looked at Lina and Mel who was talking. “What about them?” He nodded to the girls.
“They’re coming with us.”
“This is crazy! I think they planned all this.”
“You! Crazy girl!” Kibum called Mel. Mel, stupid enough turned to look at him. “Get in.” He opened the door of his two seater car. She ignored him.
“No way.”
Kibum sighed. “Just get in, will you? We’re late already.” He told Mel. Mel folded her arms. She glared at him.
Kangin walked over and pulled Lina’s hand. He pushed Lina at the passenger’s seat of his car and closed the door. Kangin smirked, satisfied.
“That’s easier.”
Lina who was in the car, yelled and she keeps knocking on the window. Kangin turned to Kibum.
“Later, dude.” He told him.
Kangin move to the other side of the car and he sat at the driver’s seat. Kibum and Mel could hear Lina’s voice yelling when he opened the door. Kangin rolled his eyes and he reversed from the driveway.
Then, it was just Kibum and Mel.
Kibum looked at Mel. He raised an eyebrow as if he’s trying to say, “Well, you want me to push you in like Kangin did?”. Mel sighed and entered the car. Kibum grinned.
“This time, I win…”
At the zoo entrance…
The others had arrived and they’re waiting for Kangin and the rest.
“It’s almost half and hour already. Where are they?” Leeteuk sighed.
“They’re probably killing each other…” Heechul answered. All of them laughed.
“Possibly…” Yoochun said.
“They’re here.” Changmin informed.
Sure enough there were two sleek sport cars heading towards them.
“At last…” Yuri said.
The cars parked beside the minibus. Kangin, Kibum, Mel and Lina get out of the cars immediately. It seemed that they can’t stand any longer staying in the car. All four of them looked pissed and they looked as if a tornado just hit inside the car.
Kangin and Kibum hairs looked like Einstein had an explosion. Mel and Lina looked just the same. Their clothes were a mess. When the others saw them, they laughed.
“I knew it…We should have ignored Eunhyuk’s brilliant idea.” Yuri sighed.
“They really kill each other…” Heechul muttered. All of them looked at him. “Well, it’s true! Look at them!”
The foursome walked towards the others. All looked mad.
“I will never be in a car with this mad girl anymore!” Kangin declared.
Lina glared at him. “Like I want to be in a car with you!”
Kangin who was walking ahead of her turned. “Who do you think you are, huh?” He walked closer to her and he flicked her head.
“Oww!!! How dare you touch me!!! ”
“So, what? You’re just a mad girl.”
And…they start to argue again…
Meanwhile…
“Such crazy girl. Making noise in the car…” Kibum told no one in particular. “Had me a migraine.”
Mel didn’t understand a word Kibum said coz he was speaking in Hangul, but she knows he’s talking about her. “Kibum-chan. Keep looking in the mirror. As if he’s hot and cute.” Mel replied in Japanese.
Note : Kibum is hot and cute!!! >.o<
“You! Crazy girl!!!” Kibum called her.
Mel kept on walking and singing. Then, the four of them walked towards the zoo in a very ‘merry’ kinda way. Leeteuk and Yuri shook their heads and followed. The others who was laughing seeing the four of them arguing, followed suit.
In the zoo…So much fun!!!
Leeteuk was right. On weekdays, the zoo seemed to be quite empty. There were not a lot of people and they’re mostly tourists. Therefore, the TVXQ and Super Junior were able to move around the zoo quite freely. Quite. Freely. The hoodies, caps, sunglasses seemed to help a lot.
Lina was resting at a bench when Kyuhyun walked over and handed her a drink.
“Here.” Lina looked up at Kyuhyun’s handsome face.
“Thanks.” Lina took the drink and tried to hide her blush.
“Let’s walk around…” Kyuhyun suggested. Lina nodded immediately.
The two of them walked in silence. Lina bit her bottom lip miserably. She’s no good in this kinda thing. Mel and Yuri had the pHD in this course though. Lina tried to start a conversation.
“The weather is nice isn’t it?” she asked. She gripped on her paper cup. The weather? The weather? She’s talking about the weather?!!! How lame is that?
“Yeah, very nice…”Kyuhyun replied, looking at the sky.
“Kyuhyun-oppa, you like animals?”
Kyuhyun smiled at her. “Yeah. Mostly the cute ones…Like Koalas…”
“Well, I like big animals like elephants and…uh, hippos. Hahaha.”
Kyuhyun chuckled. “Why?”
Lina paused. “Um, because they’re big and…protective…I guess…”
Then, Kyuhyun looked at her, interested. “Protective, huh?”
Lina nodded. “Yup. So that they can stomp on Kangin’s big head.”
Kyuhyun laughed loudly. “Sure. Okay…”
Lina grinned. Proud. I made him laugh! I score!!!
Kangin who was not far behind them, sneered.
“Look at her! Look! She’s flirting with Kyuhyun!” He told Siwon and Hankyung. Siwon and Hankyung looked at each other.
“Hyung, you’re jealous aren’t you?” Siwon asked, teasing.
Kangin looked at Siwon. “What? Me? Jealous? With whom?”
“Kyuhyun.”
Kangin laughed. “Why would I be?”
“Coz Lina seemed to be happy with him.” Hankyung replied.
“No way! Pah! I rather date a goat.” Kangin walked ahead.
“Nobody said anything about dating…” Hankyung said to Siwon.
Siwon smirked. “I know.” Then, Siwon’s eyes fell on a cola vending machine. He immediately walked over and bought three cans for himself. He opened a can and drank. A satisfying smile spread over his face.
“I think Siwon gonna marry cola, you know…” Kangin told Hankyung.
Meanwhile…
Jaejoong, Heechul, Yuri, Yesung and Changmin was walking not far from them.
“Look at Siwon and his cola obsession.” Heechul told them. Siwon grinned and continue walking with Hankyung and Kangin. His three cola cans were present in his arms. All of them laughed.
“Siwon’s like a kid. So cute.” Yuri said.
Suddenly, Lina who was walking in front of Hankyung, Siwon and Kangin, turned around and she headed straight for Kangin. Kyuhyun, Hankyung and Siwon shook their heads, laughing.
“Look at those two. They kept arguing like a married couple…” Changmin commented.
“You’re right. Just like the other two.” Jaejoong replied.
“Ahem!” Someone cleared his throat. All of them turned around. It was Kibum. “Talking about me?”
“If you know, why you even asked?” Heechul asked. Then, Kibum pushed him.
“Shut up.”
Not far away…around their radius…
“Um, favourite colour?” Sungmin asked in English.
“Black…” Mel answered.
Sungmin looked at her clothes. They were pink and Hello Kitty’s. Mel realized Sungmin was looking at her outfits.
“They’re pink coz they’re Hello Kitty’s. But, the truth is, I hate pink. Weird?” Mel explained in Japanese. Sungmin just smiled at her. She sighed. “I bet you don’t understand a word I’m saying…”
Sungmin grinned. “What about food?”
“Sushi and takoyaki.” Then, she paused. “Chocolate too.”
“Animals?”
“Ferrets and cats…Hontou kawaii ne!!!”
Sungmin and Mel laughed and continue to have a good time together.
“Those two seemed to get along very well…” Leeteuk told Ryeowook and Donghae.
“Yeah. But, Hikaru is a friendly girl. She gets along with everyone. Including Heechul who hates foreigners…I like her.” Ryeowook replied.
Donghae looked at Mel who was laughing and playfully punch Sungmin. Then, Eunhyuk arrived. He bought two ice-creams and gave one to her. Junsu also there, with balloons. He handed the balloons to Mel. She smiled widely.
“Arigatou!!!”
Eunhyuk and Junsu grinned, satisfied.
“Everybody seemed to like her.” Leeteuk said.
“She’s okay.” Donghae commented.
Then, Mel ran away from Sungmin, Eunhyuk and Junsu. Something had caught her attention. All of them just stared at her.
“Aaaa! Lina-chan! Yuri-chan! Come here, look!”
Lina who’s unable to chase Kangin, turned to her. “What? Why?” She walked towards Mel. Yuri followed.
“Pandas!” Mel cried. She pointed to the big cage in front of her. Sure enough, there were a family of pandas eating.
“So cute!!!” Lina cried along. The three of them laughed when the pandas played with the bamboos.
Shindong suddenly walked over and he stood beside Mel. “Panda.” He said.
Mel nodded, not taking her eyes away from the pandas. “Kawaii ne?”
Shindong make a peace sign and puffed his face adorably. “Are we alike?” he asked.
Mel, Lina and Yuri turned to look at him and they laughed. “Cute!!!”
Yunho and Yoochun who was there with them, looked at each other. Then, they did the same thing.
“What about us?” Yoochun asked.
The girls turned to look at them. They looked at each other and returned to look at Shindong.
“Cute!!!”
“Eh?!!!” Yunho and Yoochun cried.
Some time in the zoo…
“Yuri-sshi, smile!” Jaejoong told her. Yuri was taking a picture with a parrot on her shoulder. Jaejoong held out the camera.
“Yuri-sshi! Look at my camera here!” Heechul called. Jaejoong looked at him.
“Hey! I was trying to take her picture!”
“So what?” Heechul glared. “Yuri-sshi, here!”
“Yuri-sshi, here!” Jaejoong called.
When the two of looked at the spot Yuri was standing, she was no longer there.
“Yuri-sshi?”
Yuri had moved on with Yesung. Then, the two of them walked somewhere else to take another picture. Jaejoong glared at Heechul.
“This is all your fault!”
“No, it’s not!”
“You caused Yuri to walk away!”
Mel meanwhile was with Sungmin. They were looking at the monkeys.
“Oh! That’s cute!” Mel cried. She was speaking in English.
Sungmin looked into the cage. “Eh? Where?”
“That.” Mel pointed at the baby monkey.
“Oh…baby monkey.”
Mel laughed. “Yeah. Baby.”
“Kangin so cute!!!”
Mel and Sungmin looked at each other.
“Oppa…” Mel started. “Lina-chan…”
“Yeah.” Sungmin replied. “I heard it too…” This time in Hangul.
“Kangin sooo cute, ne~~~!” There goes Lina’s voice again.
Kangin who was standing cloce by, turned around. “My ears need to be fixed.”
“Kangin-sshi, you’re sooo cute!”
Kangin looked for Lina. He was curious. What would make the ‘mad girl’ changed her mind and called him ‘cute’?
Then, he saw all of them huddling around together. He walked towards them. He realized, all of them were laughing. Hard. Really hard.
“What are you guys laughing at?” Kangin asked them.
Leeteuk turned around. When he sees Kangin he laughed loudly.
Note : Leeteuk laughters are cute!!! Like sooo cute!!! One more thing! Uh, this are just for fun and it has no meaning to humiliate anybody…To Kangin Fan, please don’t kill us! We love Kangin too. This is just for some humor in the story…Please understand…Thank you!
“Oh, Kangin ah…Come here.” Leeteuk pulled him forward. “Read this.”
“What? Read what?” Kangin asked again.
Hankyung pointed the signboard in front of the cage. There was Kangin’s name written on it. Kangin looked into the cage. There was a black gorilla.
“His…name…is Kangin?” he asked.
“It’s her. Her name is Kangin!” Lina corrected. Then, she laughed. “Isn’t she’s cute?”
“Impossible…” Kangin muttered.
All of them roared with laughter again. Kangin glared at Lina. She smirked.
“We’ll see about this!” then, he turned and walked away, pissed off.
“Hey, Kangin! Where are you going?” Yunho called.
“Away from the mad girl!” He turned to look at Lina. “You’re gonna pay for this!”
“Hey, aren’t you happy to see your long lost sibling?” Lina cried.
Kangin ignored her and just walked ahead. Then, the gorilla in the cage growled. All of them turned around, surprised and shocked. They looked at the gorilla.
“I suppose she’s happy to see him…” Heechul told them.
All of them looked at each other and laughed.
At the parking lot…
The TVXQ, Super Junior and the girls were gathering around the minibus. They wanted to go to the beach for a picnic.
“Everybody’s here?” Leeteuk asked.
“How are we going to have a picnic if we didn’t prepare any picnic stuffs?” Yuri asked. They turned to look at her.
“Well…I guess we could buy them at the store. We’re just having a small picnic, anyway…” Sungmin suggested.
“That’s a great idea, Sungmin-sshi.” Yoochun told him.
“Now, we settled that matter. Let’s go.” Yunho clapped his hands together.
Then, everybody scrambled to their own transportation. Just when everybody almost boarded, Lina stopped them.
“Wait!!!”
All of them turned to look at her.
“What’s wrong?” Kyuhyun asked.
Lina folded her arms. She turned her face away. “I don’t want to be in a car with him.” She nodded to Kangin.
“Like I want to be with you…” Kangin replied.
Some of them laughed and chuckled. Mel remained blur. She understands nothing.
“Okay. Um, then…” Junsu started. “Lina-sshi get on the minibus and one of us get in a car with Kangin.”
“I will…” Siwon said. He sat immediately in Kangin’s car. He opened the window. “Kangin, let me drive…Okay?”
Kangin handed him the key. “Sure.”
Then, all of them started to get on the minibus while the TVXQ filled in the van except Jaejoong…Mel realizes Lina’s boarding the minibus instead of Kangin’s car. Then, she understands the situation.
“Matte! (Wait!)”
Those who haven’t boarded turned to look at her.
“What now, Mel?” Yuri asked, annoyed already.
“If Lina’s not getting in a car with Kangin, why should I be with Kibum?” Mel pouted. “Eternal unfairness…”
Leeteuk looked at Yuri. “What did she want?”
Yuri sighed. “She’s not going to ride with Kibum.”
Leeteuk scratched his head. “Uh…”
“Let me take Hikaru.” Sungmin solved. “Kibum, keys?”
“Gladly.” Kibum threw his car keys to Sungmin and he boarded the minibus happily. Sungmin turned to Mel who looked blur. He opened the door for her.
“Let’s go.” He said in English.
Mel smiled widely. She understands that Sungmin is going to drive. She entered the car and Sungmin closed the door.
“Anything else?” Leeteuk asked. But, everybody has boarded.
At the beach…Picnic! Yeay!
“At last!!!” Lina opened her arms wide. The breeze swept softly through her. “We’re at the beach…”
The beach was nearly empty because it was quite far from town. Therefore, the TVXQ and Super Junior feel comfortable.
Lina looked at the sea. “So beautiful…”
“Too bad it’s not summer, huh?” Kyuhyun told her.
Lina turned to look at him. “Well, at least it’s spring…”
Kyuhyun smiled at her. “Yeah…”
Shindong, Yoochun, Changmin and Leeteuk brought all the junkies they bought from a convenient store. Kangin spread the mat that they had always put in the minibus and he lie on it.
“Ah…feels good…” Then, a shadow covers his face. “Hey!” He opened his eyes. It was Yuri.
“Oppa, we’re trying to put out the food…” she raised her left eyebrow.
“Ah. Sorry.” Then, Kangin sat up straight.
“How come Sungmin and Hikaru are not here yet?” Junsu asked as he drank his soda.
“Yeah…Where have they gone to?” Siwon wondered, worried.
“Lost?” Ryeowook guessed.
“It can’t be. Sungmin know this beach…” Yesung replied.
“Yuri-sshi!!! Yuri-sshi ah~~~!!!”
All of them who sat on the mat turned. It was Heechul. He was holding a pink ball which he bought earlier.
Note : Just in case you feel weird. Most of the stuffs were bought at the convenient store because they didn’t have time to prepare for the picnic. It was a last minute idea, if you recall ‘the bestfriends’ fight’ earlier.
Jaejoong was also there with Yunho and Eunhyuk. They’re waving.
“Let’s play together!!!” Jaejoong cried. “You’re in my team!”
“No! She’s in my team!” Heechul turned to Jaejoong. Then, the two of them started to argue. Some of the guys cracked laughing.
Yuri sighed. She stands up and she trudge in the sand towards Heechul and Jaejoong. Yesung followed.
“Me, Yesung and Eunhyuk. One team.” Yuri said. “That’s final.”
Jaejoong and Heechul stared. “What?”
Yuri grabbed the ball and she ran away with it. “Let’s see who’s going to win!!!”
Then, all of them chased her.
Meanwhile…
Lina was collecting seashells with Kyuhyun and Hankyung.
“Lina-sshi. For you…” Hankyung gave her a long flawless seashell.
Lina smiled. “Awww! Thanks!” She looked at the white seashell. “Very beautiful…”
Then, the three of them heard the sound of people screaming, yelling and chanting. They turned and it was Kangin vs. Shindong. They’re having a wresling…On the beach. Kibum, Donghae, Siwon, Changmin, Yoochun and Junsu were by the sidelines, supporting either one. Leeteuk meanwhile become the referee.
The three of them laughed.
“I expect Shindong gonna win.” Kyuhun predicted.
Lina scrunched her face. “I don’t think so.”
Hankyung looked at her. “You’re supporting Kangin?”
“No!” Lina rolled her eyes. “I think Kangin gonna win coz he’s head is so big, he’s gonna fall over himself!”
Kyuhyun and Hankyung laughed. Then, the three of them approached the others.
“Hey, where’s Sungmin and Hikaru? It’s been too long already…” Lina asked.
“I’ve called Sungmin. He said they’re stopping somewhere to buy something.” Kibum explained.
“What?”
“Don’t worry. They’ll be here…” Donghae piped.
Lina looked away. “But, what took them so long anyway…?”
Mel and Sungmin…
Mel was playing with her handphone when it suddenly rang. There was a reminder. It’s Lina’s birthday.
“What?” Sungmin asked her.
Mel turned to look at him. “It’s Lina’s birthday.”
“Birthday?”
Mel nodded. “I can’t believe it. I’ve forgotten about it…”
“Hikaru. Buy cake.”
Mel expression lightens. “Ah! That’s a great idea, oppa!” Then, she frowned. “But is there any bakery here?” she accidentally speaks in Japanese.
“Eh?” Sungmin looked at her.
“Um, shop. Uh…cake shop.”
Sungmin grinned. “Yup. Front.”
Mel smiled. “Awesome. We’ll buy chocolate topping. She loves chocolate like me…”
“Okay.”
Then, the two of them headed straight for the bakery.
Back at the beach…
“Lina-sshi, it’s dangerous!” Yunho said, worried.
“Lina, no!!!” Junsu said.
“Lina, please don’t!” Yuri told her.
Lina folded her sleeves. “Don’t worry. I can do it…”
“Lina, don’t do it!” Eunhyuk cried.
“I don’t care. I’m still going to do it.”
Kangin smirked. “Yeah. And you die trying.”
“Shut up!” Lina glared at him.
Heechul cleared his throat. “Ahem. And now, we proceed to Lina’s brave attempt to die…Wrestling with the strong Kangin!!!”
Some of them cheered and clapped.
Heechul held up his hand. “So, let’s see who’s going to win this match…Are you two ready?”
“Lina-sshi, any last words?” Kangin raised his eyebrows.
“Yeah, if you lose…don’t cry and run for you momma.”
Kangin glared. “You’re saying that for yourself…”
Heechul sighed. “Okay, okay…Now, bow.”
They bow to each other.
“And….start!”
Kangin was trying to grab Lina but she dodges and threw sands to Kangin. Kangin fell out from the circle and he tried to get rid of the sand in his eyes. Lina laughed maniacally. She knows it was unfair but, she just love doing it.
“Hahaha. Serves your big head its rights.”
Kangin glared at her. His eyes were red. “Hey!!! I’m gonna kill you!!!” He stands up and chase Lina who’s already ran away to save her life.
The others who watches just laughed.
“Those two…aish…” Leeteuk sighed.
“Aaa…Sungmin’s here!” Ryeowook told the others.
All of them turned to look at Kibum’s sleek sport car. It parked beside Kangin’s then Sungmin and Mel walked out of it. Mel was holding a box. They gathered at the mat leaving Lina and Kangin still chasing around.
“Where have the two of you been?” Leeteuk asked.
Mel looked around. The others looked around too, following her.
“What?” Hankyung asked.
“We went to the bakery, to buy cake. It’s Lina’s birthday.” Mel said excitedly in Japanese which she does when she’s mad or happy.
They looked at Yuri.
“I don’t know any Japanese.” She pointed out.
“Ah, sorry. I said, we went to the bakery, to buy cake. It’s Lina’s birthday today!”
Yuri slapped her forehead. “Ah! I forgot! I mean with all the Su…….” (Native language). She stopped herself quickly. Mel smiled. She understands.
“Kangin! Lina! That’s enough, come here!” Yunho called.
The two of them realized everybody was gathering at the mat. The two of them glared at each other and walked towards the others.
“Eh, when did you two arrived?” Lina asked.
“Years ago…” Mel answered. Then, she laughed.
“What’s up?” Kangin asked them.
“It’s a special day.” Ryeowook said.
“Special day?” Kangin repeated.
Mel grinned and she opened the cake box. “Lina. Happy birthday.”
Lina’s eyes were round. “What?”
“I said, Happy birthday…”
“Are you sure…”
Yuri nodded. “Yup.”
“You forgot your own birthday?” Kangin told her. She ignored him.
Lina smiled. “Thanks!”
Yuri and Mel hugged her. “You’re old now.” They told her.
They all laughed.
“Happy birthday.” Kyuhyun told her.
“Lina-sshi, happy birthday!” Heechul said happily.
“Happy birthday!” Yunho piped.
Then, all of them sing a happy birthday song.
“It was just a birthday. Nothing big…” Kangin said under his breath but Lina heard him. Then, a piece of cake hit his face.
“That’s for you.”
He turned to look at Lina. Then, he grabbed some cake and threw it at her. “Well, then Happy Birthday to you.”
Lina gasped as the cake hit her cheek. Then, the two of them started a cake war.
“Hey, that’s enough…” Leeteuk told them, but a piece of cake hit his face.
Then, Yunho laughed. Leeteuk took the cake on his face and threw it at Yunho. Yunho stopped laughing immediately. Then, he wanted to throw it back to Leeteuk but it missed and hit Heechul instead.
“Hey!” Then, Heechul glared at Yunho. But another piece of cake hit his face. This time from Jaejoong.
“Guys, those are food…They should be eaten…”Shindong told them. But the cake war as turned big and all of them attacked Shindong.
They laughed loudly. Shindong looked at them and took a huge chunk to throw at any of them. Then, of course everybody ran away to avoid the chunk from him. They laughed and get dirty with the cake icing together.
Everybody get along just fine…
