News: The Best of Green Lantern On DVD

While visiting DC Comcis Super-Heroes fan site The World's Finest today, I have discovered that Warner Bros. will be releasing a collection DVD titled "The Best of Green Lantern". From what I've heard, this one will feature 5 animated T.V. episodes featuring a Green Lantern in a protagonal/guest role and the episodes are listed as follows:

  • "In Brightest Day" from "Superman: The Animated Series" (1996)
  • The two-parter "In Blackest Nihgt" from "Justice League" (2001. Series renamed "Justice League Unlimited" after season 2)
  • "Ring Toss" from "The Batman" (2004)
  • "The Eyes of Despero!" from "Batman: The Brave and The Bold" (2008)

Despite the box-office failure of 2011's live-action "Green Lantern", it's looking like Warner Bros. does not wish to give up in trying to bring Green Lantern to the same mainstream level as DC's big three (Superman, Btaman, and Wonder Woman) within North Amerieca. In fact, I find more of the obscure DC hereos deserve a chance in popularity. By the way, if you have Cartoon network in your cable or satelitte, get ready for "Green Lantern: The Animated Series", which is scheduled to premier on Sept. 5.

Spidey's Look For 2012 Spider-Man Film

Yesterday, Marvel.com had posted up a full body shot of Spider-Man as he will appear in the upcoming 2012 "Spider-Man" film, which will be titled "The Amazing Spider-Man". Despite some distinctions between this suit and that of the previous installments of Sony Pictures' "Spider-Man" film series, I find it looks awesome.

Anyway, click here to see it.

News: Venom Vol. 2 To Launch in March 2011

For all you Venom fans out there, get ready as Marvel Comics will be launching the 2nd volume of issues of the comic book series "Venom". Unlike the first volume (which ran from 2003 to 2004 and starred Eddie Brock), this upcoming volume will focus on adventures of U.S. military soldier Flash Thompson as he's now the host of the Venom symbiote, which uses to take down bigger threats in the mainstream Marvel Universe.

The first issue of this new volume will be released on March 2, 2011, but make sure you first read "The Amazing Spider-Man" No. 654.1 (to be released on Feb. 16) as it will set the prelude stage towards "Venom" Vol. 2.
