Sept. 29, 2009 will mark the release of the sixth installment the "DC Universe Animated Original" film series of made-for-dvd films. This time, it's "Superman/Batman: Public Enemies", not only the first DC Comics film to show Superman and Batman starring together in one movie since the 2nd "DC Universe Animated Original" film, "Justice League: The New Frontier" (2008), but also an adaptation of the first story arc presented in the currently running DC comic book series "Superman/Batman" (consisting of its first six issues).
In this movie, Batman and Superman must join forces as Superman's arch-nemesis Lex Luthor, now president of the U.S., launches an evil plot that involves a Kryptonian asteroid heading on course for Earth. To make matters worse, Lex frames the two costumed crimefighters in order to protect his president title and then launches a $1 million bounty for anyone who attacks them, leading to Superman and Batman's costumed crime-fighting allies to side with the bad guys against them.
In this, Batman will be voiced by Kevin Conroy ("Batman: The Animated Series" (1992), "Justice League" (2001), and "Batman: Gotham Knight" (2008)) with Superman voiced by Tim Daly ("Superman: The Animated Series" (1996) and "Superman: Brainiac Attacks" (2006)). Look out for this film in stores where DVDs are sold, and coming soon in the "DC Universe Animated Originals", "Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths".
