News: Captain America Film Reboot

Greetings Marvel Comics Super-Heroes fans! Keep note that "The First Avenger: Captain America" is scheduled for releease on July 22, 2011. However, shooting of this upcoming film adaptation of the "Captain America" comics will not begin until around June, 2010, and Joe Johnston (director of 2010's "The Wolfman") will direct with Paramount Pictures (distributor of 2008's "Iron Man") distributing.

According to Disney Feature Film Casting, several actors are screen testing for the role of Steve Rogers (a.k.a. Captain America), and the actor names are listed here as follows:

  • Chace Crawford
  • John Krasinski
  • Scott Porter
  • Mike Vogel
  • Micheal Cassidy
  • Patrick Flueger
