Paramount Pictures (creator of 2008's "Iron Man") and Marvel Entertainment will be releasing on 05/06/2011, the movie "Thor", which will be based on the Marvel Comic character The Mighty Thor, who is a member of the Avengers (a Marvel Super-Hero team).

This movie will focus on Thor's search for the meaning of heroism after being exiled from Asgard (his home world) to Earth by Odin (his father) as a punishment for actions that resulted in an ancient war. Furthermore, it will involve Thor facing a conflict in which Asgard's most dangerous tyrant send troops to invade Earth. Chris Hemsworth (who played George Kirk for 2009's "Star Trek") will be playing the part of Thor, which he will later reprise for 2012's "The Avengers", scheduled for release on May 4, 2012.
