U.S. comic book publisher Marvel Comics is planning to release a series of one-shots called "Marvel.1". Acccording to Joe Quesada in a behind-the-scenes description featured in "The Amazing Spider-Man" No. 651 (released 2 days ago), each of the "Marvel.1" one-shots will serve as a starting point for readers who just got into the Marvel Comics Super-Heroes franchise so as to not only take into consideration "Spider-Man" co-creator Stan Lee's famous line "every comic is someone's first", but also present stories that they can enjoy without the big need for knowledge of the mainstream Marvel Universe. Plus, each will be sold at a price lower than the current usual price per Marvel-published issue (which is $3.99 for U.S. and Canada) Now, here's a list of all the "Marvel.1" one-shots below, divided up according to release time, but note that Marvel only so-far revealed the premises for the ones coming in Febraury:

- "The Amazing Spider-Man" No. 654.1: Venom's origins are explored as Spider-Man encounters a new host for the Venom symbiote, but is he friend or enemy?
- "The Invincible Iron Man" No. 500.1: Tony Stark's life in the far, far future is foreshadowed
- "Wolverine" No. 5.1: Wolverine faces a new supervillain group during his birthday with guest appearances of other X-Men and Avengers. Set between the last part of the "Wolverine Goes To Hell" storyarc (told in "Wolverine Vol. 4 No. 5) and part 1 of "Wolverine Vs. The X-Men" (to be told in "Wolverine" Vol. 4 No. 6)
