DC and Marvel: Must-Reads of Nov. 2012

Today, I post up lists of DC and Marvel Hero comic book issues/one-shots I recommend you should check out this November, depending on what you're into that is.

DC Comics

  • Earth 2 No. 6: In part 6 of the series' opening story-arc, it's a battle of Green Lantern Vs. Grundy to decide the fate of Earth within the Post-Flashpoint Earth-2, but do the Flash, Hawkgirl, Green Lantern, and Atom of this universe have what it takes to establish the first Earth-based superhero group in their universe's history since the demise of its original superhero trinity?
  • Green Arrow (Vol. 5) No. 15: In a "Hawkman Wanted" tie-in story, Green Arrow joins forces with Hawkman to battle Thanagarian cops who are on the hunt for Hawkman in Seattle.
  • Green Lantern (Vol. 5) No. 14: In this chapter of "Rise of The Third Army", the Justice League use force to try interrogating Simon Baz regarding Hal Jordan's absence.
  • Ame-Comi Girls No. 2: Featuring manga-esque gender-bendered versions of Batman and Robin.
  • Batman (Vol. 2) No. 14: In part 2 of "Death of The Family", Batman tries to find answers behind the Joker's change of sinister personality during his absense.
  • Green Lantern Corps (Vol. 3) No. 14: In this chapter of "Rise of The Third Army", the Guardians plot to eliminate John Stewart from the war against the Third Army.
  • Batwoman No. 14: Part 3 of the Batwoman/Wonder Woman team-up story.
  • Green Lantern: New Guardians No. 14: In this part of "Rise of the Third Army", the God of Terrror Arkillo is about to expose Kyle Rayner's fears.
  • Justice League (Vol. 2) No. 14, as the Justice League continue its fight against Cheetah that began in issue 13, Superman turns dangerous and Hal Jordan isn't around to help stop the problem.
  • Arrow No. 1: It's the premier issue of the comic book series spinning off from the new Green Arrow T.V. series of the same name.
  • Before Watchemen: Dr. Manhattan No. 3
  • Before Watchmen: Ozymandias No. 4
  • Before Watchmen: Silk Spectre No. 4
  • Red Lanterns No. 14: In thsi aprt of "Rise of the Third Army", dark secrets from below Atrocitus' home world Ryutt are to be uncovered as the Red Lanterns battle the Third Army.
  • The Savage Hawkman No. 13: In part one of "Hawkman Wanted", set before the events shown in Green Arrow (Vol. 5) No. 14, Hawkman has his first encounter with Green Arrow while the Thanagarian princess Ladyhawke begins her crusade to kill Hawkman for his alleged murder of her father and brother.

Marvel Comics

  • AvX: Consequences No. 5: Part 5 of the AvX aftermatch story.
  • Deadpool (Vol. 3) No. 1: Deadpool finds himself entering a war against resurrected American presidents.
  • First X-Men No. 4: Exploring the birth of the Sentinel Program.
  • Iron Man (Vol. 5) No. 1: Realizing that his greatest invention yet has turned dangerous, Tony Stark must get to work in building a new armor to combat the techno virus Extremis.
  • Marvel's Iron Man 2 Adaptation No. 1: Part 1 of the comic book adaptation of the 2010 movie Iron Man 2. A must-read for those who haven't yet seen the film.
  • Scarlet Spider (Vol. 2) No. 11: in part 4 of "Minimum Carnage", Kaine Parker must fight the monster within the Carnage symbiote to defeat it while Flash Thompson takes on a mission that may cause him to lose more than his own life.
  • All-New X-Men No. 1: It's past meets present as the present-day X-Men receive a visit from the past selves of the five founding X-Men.
  • Avengers Assemble No. 9: Tony Stark and Bruce Banner enter a worldwide ratrace against each other for a comon prize, using teams to hunt down a fellow bigbrain.
  • Thor: God of Thunder No. 1: Thor Odinson begins an epic quest to hunt a bloodtrail about to devour his entire history from past to future.
  • The Amazing Spider-Man (Vol. 1) No. 698: It's the beginning of what maybe the end of Peter Parker as Spider-Man when Dr. Octopus (re)learns Peter's secret.
  • Industructible Hulk No. 1: Hulk becomes a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent.
  • Iron Man (Vol. 5) No. 2: As the hunt for the techno virus Extremis continues, Tony Stark ends up on the island of New Camelot, where he encounters a high-tech army of mecha-knights known as "The Circle".
  • Venom (Vol. 2) No. 27: Part 5 of "Minimum Carnage" finds Flash Thompson and Kaine Parker risking their universe to protect the Micronauts' own from Carnage.
  • A+X No. 2: It's Spider-Man and The Beast versus Zombies.
  • FF (Vol. 2) No. 1: Scott Lang/Ant-Man II forms a new roster of the with Medusa, She-Hulk, and Miss Thing to replace the Fantastic Four as the core of the Future Foundation.
  • Minimum Carnage: Omega: The sixth and final chapter of the "Minimum Carnage" storyarc.
