Though I did not watch the 2013 MTV Movie Awards, I spent some time googling around the net to see if any superhero movies from 2012 were nominated for the event, and what ya' know, PerezHilton reports that 2012's The Avengers movie had actually won three awards: one for "Best Fight Scene", one for "Best Villain" (Tom Hiddleston's role of Loki), and one for "Best Movie of The Year" (hooray indeed). However, this movie was one of two superhero movies to receive nminations; the other was The Dark Kngiht Rises, but it lost in all categories it was nominated for. At least, superheroes got glory in Best film of the Year, unlike in the Oscars during the past years (where there appears to be so much biasness over film genre when it comes to such category). Congrats to the makers of the film on their glory.
