Warner Bros. and DC Comics are planning to release in theaters, a director's cut of the 2009 live-action film adaptation of one of DC Comics' best-selling comic book limited series, "Watchmen". In this cut, there will be 25 minutes of new footage included. The screening event is scheduled for the week before the DVD and Blu-Ray releases of the film itself (to happen on July 21) and the San Diego Comic-Con (to happen on July 23-26). However, this theatrical screening event will only take place in theaters in four U.S. cities (Los Angeles, New York, Minneapolis, and Dallas) during the scheduled time. Also, there are plans for a special screening of the live-action "Watchmen" movie at the San Diego Comic-Con with Q&A discussions during the show.
