“Tell me!” Soji stormed at the shinigami, “Tell me who kills him!”
“Like I know, I was just stating facts that I know,” Isica laughed.
“Soji?” it was the pilot hearing Soji scream out.
Soji looked over at the man and began to cry. Fear and anger was bringing dribbles of water down her cheeks to land on the floor in an icy puddle of nothingness. The coldness was gripping her harder and harder.
“Soji? What is wrong?” the pilot asked unable to do anything but ask.
“Ryuza, Ryuza, I need him. Tell him to come back. Tell him!” Soji sobbed curling up in a ball in the warm leather couch.
“I can’t get him,” the pilot said somberly.
“Ryuza,” Soji sobbed, “don’t let him…I can’t let him…”
Soji stood up and walked past the pilot. Smiling, Isica followed the girl into the first room and towards the door. As she began to open the hatch, the pilot grabbed the door and held it closed.
“What do you expect to do?” the pilot asked.
“Find Ryuza,” Soji answered pushing back on the door. The door budged a little but would not go any further.
Soji backed away and held out the Death Note.
“Don’t make me kill you,” Soji warned.
“Ooo this is interesting!” Isica laughed.
“Soji…you wouldn’t…” the pilot said looking hurt, “you are bigger than that. Don’t use the Note. Ryuza told you to use it only when you had to. This is not one of those times. Ryuza will come back and everything will be fine.”
“No he won’t! And I have shinigami eyes, I can kill you right now! Move!” Soji ordered.
“Soji, Ryuza took you away from Near because he you are special to him. Don’t turn into something you will regret,” the pilot said softly.
“I refuse to let Ryuza die!” Soji said angrily, “Move! I know your name is Samuel Charlesworth get away or I will do it!” Soji bit at her thumb and began to write the pilot’s name in the Note. All the while Isica was laughing.
“Soji, please don’t. Don’t hurt Ryza by turning into someone he doesn’t know. Kill me now if you want, but it will only hurt Ryuza,” the pilot said softly.
Fear shook Soji. Ryuza saved me because he knew I didn’t kill Xero because I felt to on a whim. Ryuza, I’m sorry. I won’t hurt you by turning into Kira.
“I’m sorry,” Soji sighed, “I just have to get to Ryuza, I didn’t know it before, but I know that he is going to die in a little over a week. Please, I need to get to him…” Soji broke down in a fresh group of tears.
“Then we’ll go to Ryuza. He means a lot to you? Soji I will take you to him on the grounds that for his sake you take excellent care of yourself,” the pilot smiled.
“Thank you,” Soji cried dropping the Death Note on the floor and sliding down the wall into a seated position.
How did she know that Ryuza was scheduled to be killed? Not even Near knows. I will have to kill her. Master Xero, we will avenge you, The pilot thought as he turned and reclosed the hatch.
