Chapter 3: The Regi Cave
"Huff...huff...I think I'll be safe from Darkrai now...huff, huff. Hm...it's getting pretty dark out. I think I'll just stay in this cave until the sun rises again." Shaymin said out of breath.
"BUZZ. BUZZ. BUZZ."
"Waaaaah! W-who's there?"
"WHO ARE YOU INTRUDER?"
"I-I'm Shaymin, I-I didn't mean to-"
"SHAYMIN? OH, WELCOME TO OUR HOME, SORRY FOR SCARING YOU."
"Our?"
"Welcome to Regi Cave! I'm Regirock, that's Regice, and that's Registeel."
"They all have Regi in their name, could they possibly know Regigigas? Hello Regis! Um...you guys wouldn't happen to know Regigigas, would you?"
"Regigigas? He's been out of the cave for weeks exploring, how do you know him?" Regirock asked.
"Um...well, he saved my life...and gave me this."
"Wait...you said something about Darkrai earlier, did he save you then?" Regice asked.
"Yes he did." Shaymin replied.
"Oh no...this is not good..." Regice said sadly.
"Why?" Shaymin asked.
"Um...well...allow me to explain..." Registeel said nervously.
"Go ahead." Shaymin replied.
"Well...all four of us Regis formed an alliance with Darkrai and his master Giratina becau-"
"WHAT? WHY?" Shaymin interrupted.
"I'll continue from here," Regirock said, "Anyway, we formed an alliance with them in order to protect ourselves. We do not wish harm upon others, unlike Darkrai, Giratina, and their masters."
"Okay, I get that...WAIT! That means Darkrai is gonna' come for you guys!" Shaymin replied.
"Yes, we are aware of that. I imagine he'll be here anyday." Regirock said.
"Wait a minute Shaymin, is Regigigas still alive?" Registeel asked.
"I'm not sure, he told me to leave right away."
"Registeel, the odds of him winning would be very, very slim." Regirock said said sadly.
"I-I'm sorry I killed your friend..." Shaymin said quickly.
"Shaymin, you didn't kill him, it's not your fault!" Regirock chuckled.
"But still...he died because he was protecting me..."
"It's fine Shaymin, there's nothing we can do about it now..." Regirock replied.
"Um...hey, Shaymin, what exactly did Regigigas give you anyway?" Regice asked.
