"Flooowers awe pwetty..." Shaymin said sleepily resting in a flower patch on a bright, sunny day.
"Resting now are we Shaymin?"

"Heh, heh..." Suddenly, it became as dark as night.
"W-why are you doing this? I have to be brave, and stand my ground... Who are you?" Shaymin cried.
"Why I," The light suddenly reappeared. "am Darkrai."

"Heh, little Shaymin, you don't remember me, do you? Well, do you remember Cresellia, Mew, Jirachi, and Arceus?"

"Waaaaah!...Huh?" Shaymin looked up to see a Pokemon protecting her.
"Run...Shaymin...Take this...it will...make you stronger..." The Pokemon said while deflecting an attack from Darkrai.
"Regigigas? But I thought we were allies!" Darkrai thought.
"T-thank you, who are you?" Shaymin said quietly.
"Run...far...away..." The Pokemon said in reply.
"Why, Regigigas, why are you protecting such a little being? Surely it won't matter if it's gone?" Darkrai said angrily.
"Run...away..." Regigigas shouted.
"Y-yes, thank you for saving me!"
