The Science Department guys have found the mediums of the shield technique, in the form of ladybugs. as they are doing that, Galmar is being his skeptical self and calling them freaks. He needs an attitude adjustment if you ask me. Inside, Kanda and Allen are trying to open the dorr. No dice. The CROW member says only the Science Department can help, quote: "If they're competent enough."
Galmar wonders what's so hard, and as Zhizhi (sp?) and the others lift the bug, Galmar opens the door, and the Science Department guys are shocked and forced away from the building. As Galmar says how it's no trouble, he sees the injured exorcists, CROW, and Link.
As Zhizhi is falling through a hole that just appeared, Reever asks if he has the medium. Zhizhi is ecstatic to start investigating, but also wonders who the guards are, to walk through the barrier easily. The skulls are wondering the exact same thing, and are going to report it to the Earl.
Timothy is wondering if Mother Superior is okay, and she wakes up to comfort him. Then everyone realizes the children and Mother Superior had fevers, aftereffects of Dark Matter. Reever executes a plan to bring everyone to the Order for an examination, including putting talismans around the premises.
Outside, Galmar is gloomy, and Link, Allen, Kanda and Marie are giving him a wide berth. Galmar starts speaking about how he knew Timothy wa wth his father at the time of his arrest, but Galmar rushed in anyway. Emilia wanted to take in Timothy, but Galmar always felt guilty for the innocence on Timothy's forehead, and so they left him at the orphanage. He asks if there is an alternative to Timothy leaving with the rest of the Order. Galmar promises to protect Timothy from the akuma next time, with a stunned Emilia and Timothy listening behind the door. Unfortunately, everyone, including Emilia & Timothy says, "Not happening." This leaves the man with a giant sweatdrop.
Galmar says they don't have to be so harsh (but his face was priceless). As people are trying to comfort him, Timothy asks if he's going to get arrested for being G. Galmar says, "How am I supposed to arrest a brat like you anyway? Timothy says he'll leave then, to keep the orphanage safe. He introduces himself as Timothy Hearst, 9 years old, and can possess akuma using his innocence, Tsukikami.
He says that he won't go for free though. Komui's face is black as he finds out Timothy wants them to pay compensation for all damage caused by Phantom Thief G. Apparently, the 37 items he stole and sold were of high value, and out of the country, making them difficult to locate, not to mention the 89 people falsely accused. He also wants the orphanage to have no more financial problems again. The total amount is enough to make Komui have to grovel to Leverrier. Tsukikami calls Timothy a dirty dealer. (Clever little sucker, isn't he?)
Emilia asks Galmar if he is going back to work soon. He grumbles that when he works, she wants him home, and tells her he's on paid leave until she recovers, since Phantom Thief G is "dead". Emilia tells him she'll be joining the Order so she'll take care of Timothy, and he won't have to worry. Galmar says, "Didn't you say you would leave as soon as you found a man?!?" His crew comfort him(or at least, tries to) by saying, Phantom Thief G did one last heist, he's stolen her daughter. (That's so helpful)
Galmar's cry of, "EMILIA!!!" could be heard outside the building. At the orphanage, the kids' fevers are going down, and Timothy is showing Mother Superior his new uniform, as wells as talking about the Order. Mother Superior tells him she's leaving to somewhere supposedly safe. They cry and stare out at the sunset, saying a final goodbye.
Allen tells Link that Mother Superior reminds him of Mana, and Timothy reminds him of himslef at that time, so he can sympathize with them. Link stares at him incredulously. Link tells Allen that that was probably the first time he's talked about Mana to anyone else. Allen agrees, and his glad he can talk about Mana with a smile. He tells Link that he's like a piece of furniture to him now. The chapter ends with the words, "As long as I keep believing...that someday...that day will come.
