“Here you go, shorty,” Hiruma said.
The quarterback dropped a large fat roly poly cat into the running back’s arms. Holding the cat, Sena looked down at it. The cat meowed and snuggled up against Sena’s chest. The running back smiled petting the adorable ball of fur.
‘Is this real?’ Sena thought to himself, ‘Hiruma-sempai gave me a present? And he’s being so nice too. Maybe he’s finally changed!’
“You like it?” Hiruma smiled.
Sena smiled back, “Yes! Very much so! Thank you!”
“Good,” Hiruma replied. His smile suddenly twisted into a wicked grin, “Then save it. Cerberos!”
Sena felt his expression change from happy to shock. Pounding across the pavement, Cerberos, Hiruma’s hell hound, came flying towards him in vicious rage. Holding the cat like a football, Sena yelled in panic, taking off running in the opposite direction.
“Four seconds!” Hiruma exclaimed, writing down Sena’s running time in his notebook, “New record! Ya-ha!”
