Day 2
Satomi woke up to pitch-black darkness. Katsu was moaning slightly, and she could her faint whispers deeper into the ice cavern. She closed her eyes and tried to sense chakra, seeing how close the strangers in the dark were, just as a voice rang out, yelling "You idiot!"
A loud scuttling echoed throughout the chamber as the kikaichu Shin had began to crawl over one of the ninja who had stumbled on their hideout. Soon after, a loud, ear-splitting sound began to ring in the air.
Satomi quickly sat up. She wasn't sure what was happening, but she did know she was in danger. She quickly formed hand signs and started a small fire in her palm.
One of the ninja was running toward them holding senbon in between her fingers. Her forehead protector, showing the symbol of the Land of Sound, reflected the light of the fire ominously. Another stood with his back towards the end of the tunnel, facing the kikaichu, which were staying back. Satomi assumed that the shrieking noise was coming from him, and that the bugs were being affected by it. The third and final shinobi lay unconcious on the ground, being the one whose chakra had been eaten by the kikaichu.
Satomi stood up quickly and threw a kunai at the approaching ninja, who dodged to the side easily.
As the high-pitched scream continued to ring throughout the room, Satomi's head began to spin and her knees began to feel weak. She fell to her hands and knees as the fire in her hand fail her. Her vision began to streak as her elbows began to buckle out from under her. Consumed by darkness and feeling as if all her energy was gone, her head began to pounded. she began to lay on the ground and give up.
NO. She can't give up now. She could overcome this. She would overcome this.
She closed her eyes and, rather than using the light of the fire, sensed the chakra around her.
Though her mind was still blurry, she could tell what was going on around her. Katsu was just to the right of her, his chakra level having become irregular, jumping around like a hyper-active rabbit. Those senbon must be poisoned. The ninja girl was heading straight for Shino, who seemed to still be asleep... or unconscious...
Satomi stood up and ran directly between the two, kicking the hand that was holding senbon last she had seen the girl. The girl jumped back, surprised, but quickly recovered and threw the senbon she had in the other hand. Satomi could saw the hand toss it but she had no idea where the senbon were in the darkness.
For a moment, her thinking become very intense. If she avoided the senbon altogether, they would just hit Shin, but if she did nothing, then she would be hit. What to do...
She began doing signs as fast as her hands would let her and began to feel chakra once again come into her palms. Once her hands were almost shaking with chakra, she exploded it into a blast of fire, pushing the senbon away.
Just as the the fire lit up the entire room, she felt a slight prick in her arm. Oh no... a senbon must have just made it past her defense. She looked down at the small trickle of blood that flowed down her arm.
She looked up. She better finish this fast, before the poison overtakes her. She pushed the fire flowing through her hands, enveloping her enemy in flames. Using the fire for sight, she located the ninja creating the screech. Feeling nausea and wooziness overtake her, she used her last bit of energy to throw a kunai at his shoulder, interrupting the noise and allowing Shin's bugs to overtake him. We're safe she thought as she lost her last bit of consciousness.

She woke up to a gentle, faint light. Opening her eyes, she found herself in a new cave illuminated by a single, make-shift lantern made from twigs. She looked around. Katsu was still asleep, but Shin was moving towards her, his concern mapped out across his face.
"Are you okay? I was so worried, I... I didn't know what to do, I reached into your bag, grabbed some herbs and.... I'm sorry!"
Satomi forced her eyes to focus over his shoulder to where a jumble of her herbs had been scattered. "This poison... antidote... kava.... with... feverfew...."
She closed her eyes, and let sleep overcome her once more.
