All right, 4th of July has come and gone. I am proud to be American, as far as all that goes, and I must admit I enjoy the food and the lights associated with celebrating this powerful Nation's independance...
But am I the only one tired of cleaning up afterwards? I mean, people were shooting off fireworks 5 days before, and 3 after the 4th, and they were doing it at 2 in the morning, in thier front yards, so none of the neighbors could sleep. That is not celebrating our nation, it is depriving citizens of thier rest.
And do they clean up all the cardbaord scraps, empty hamburger-bun bags, and sparkler ends when they are done? Usually no, the nice park people pick it up, or disgruntled nieghbors, when it finally blows into thier yards.
If you are so proud of our country, keep it tidy and let your poor fellow citizens sleep! Keep your celebrating to normal hours, preferably on the correct day, and if you make a mess, pick it up. Thats just common courtesy, folks.
This is a land of liberty, and you have the right to remain stupid, but I also have the liberty to move, and leave you to pick up your own junk. :P
Good night all, and may God truly bless America. :)
