In this WORLD I'll be discussing endings of different animes. This of course means that this WORLD features MASSIVE SPOILERS!!! If you are watching a show that has been posted, please leave and come back when you finish it!

Chobits Ending

The last episode starts off with Chii touching Hideki's face. She asks him "Are you the one for me?" Hideki stutters for a bit, and then Chii starts making that super bright light again (his window explodes). Then he says something close to "I'm in love with you Chii", and then they embrace. Chii has finally found the one for her, and only her. Then she gets all wide-eyed and stops talking. She then flys out the window onto the roof. The weird girl in black jumps up there and plugs a cable into Chii's head. She says she is going to destroy her. Hideki freaks out and starts to climb up to her, but the guy in black restrains him. After he explains himself, the guy in black lets go of him, and leaps up and unplugs the cord. He says he wants to see what happens. A ball of light encircles Chii, and then vanishes after a short time. Chii then says that she is no longer Chii, but her sisiter Freya. The apartment manager (sorry forgot her name) rushes out and "greets" her long lost daughter. Freya then explains that when she ways dying, Chii plugged her cord into Freya's head and downloaded her. Freya tells her mother that it is time to delete her and Chii forever. Her mother doesn't say anything at first, but then she states the password and says "Deletion of all data and termination of the system" Hideki of course is yelling at her to stop. The manager says "Initiate" and Freya goes wide-eyed. A few moments later she says "Deletion complete". Hideki starts giving a heart-felt speech to Chii, even though she doesn't exsist anymore. The persacom stops moving, and her mother asks "What's wrong?". Chii starts crying and by some miracle, she is still Chii even though she was supposed to be deleted. She runs forward and embraces Hideki. Chii then says to Hideki "Chii is a persacom. There are things that Chii cannot do that people can" and Hideki says "I know" and she says she wants to be together with Hideki. It then shows them in his apartment with Chii's voice-over playing in the background. Everything she says basically sums up to "And they lived happily ever after." When I started watching this, I thought for sure in the end that they would pull a fast one and kill her, but I guess I was wrong.

Lucky Star Ending

On the last episode of Lucky Star, Konata and friends are preparing for the culture festival. Patty (I think it was) decides before she goes back home that she would like to do something at the festival to remember. She tells her group of friends that they are going to do a cheerleader dance to energize the festival. Yuu-chan goes home and asks Konata if she would like to participate as well. While Konata is thinking, Patty calls her on the phone and asks her the same thing. Konata tells her that she's thinking about it, then Patty tells her if she does it, she'll give her a ticket to the Aya Hirano concert. Konata eagerly agrees. On the way to school the following day, Konata tells Kagami and Tsukasa about it and tells them that they will be participating as well. Kagami yells at her for volunteering them, but Konata convinces Tsukasa to help with no problem. When Kagami refuses, Konata starts telling a sob-storry about how she just wanted to do something with her friends before school was over. Kagami is startled by this story, but she buys it and reluctantly joins the dance crew too. They soon add Miyuki to the mix. For the next few days, the dance team meets in the auditorium to practice their dance. Patty tells them they'll be using the song "Motteke! Sailor Fuku" (sorry if that's wrong) by Aya Hirano. On the day before the big show, they have a dress-rehearsal. The viewers get to see the dance they've been waiting for, which is essentially a combination of the dance moves seen in the intro. After they finish, they are very proud of their work, and they all go home. The next day, they all arrive at school in their cheerleader costumes, and go backstage. They exchange a few words of encouragement/excitement, and then when the curtains are about to open, the credits roll...

Death Note Ending

At the end of Death Note, we find Light in a warehouse with Near and the rest of the detectives. Light arranged for Mikami (pardon my spelling) to write all of the task forces' names in the notebook. However, a while before, Light had him craft a fake notebook. The KTF stole the real death note, so Mikami wrote the names in the fake notebook. Light glances at his watch, and says "It's my victory". Everyone gasps, but no one dies. Someone brings in Mikami, and he's just screaming " I did what you told me god! Why didn't they die?" Near then examines the notebook and says " Everyones' name is in here, except for yours Light..." Of course he tries to silver-tongue his way out of this, but it was a give-away when he said " It's my victory" Near then basically explains how he caught him. Light starts pacing, as if worried, but then he pushes a button on his watch, which pops out a fragment of a death note. He starts to write, but some dude whips out a pistol and shoots Light in the arm. He procedes to shoot Light 3-5 more times, before Light collapses, and he rushes forward for a head-shot. Near tells him to stop, and he does. Light gets up, and starts limping away. A couple KTF members try to follow, but Near says no. Light hobbles down the road, and Ryuk pulls out his pen. Light lays down on a stairway in a jail or something, and Ryuk writes his name in his death note. The part the anime doesn't tell you is that when Misa finds out, she kills herself out of utter depresion.
