You know what else is annoying? When you write a post and then somehow manage to hit just the right combination of buttons to make the web page go back to the previous page, and then when you hit forward to go back to your post, you have to start over from scratch.
Anyway, I was saying that I just don't get anime endings these days. Last Exile, Noein, and now Tsubasa, to name a few. The first two were highly confusing, but the last - can Tsubasa's ending even be called an ending?? I don't get what's so difficult about writing an ending that answers all the questions the series creates.
And then there's Ubisoft's Assassins Creed and Prince of Persia. I never played Assassins Creed, but my hubby did and was quite confused by the ending. I did however play Prince of Persia, and I actually thought maybe I did it wrong and got the "bad" ending, like you can do in some other games (like various Castlevania games). The downloadable content helped a little but overall, must you leave the game at THAT much of a cliffhanger when we'll have to wait probably a couple of years for a resolution - if that game doesn't do the exact same thing again, that is.
So now that I've vented, I'll update. I haven't been doing any chibi drawings because right now I'm focusing all my attention on my manga. I'm averaging about a page a week, and I know that sounds slow, but I tend to be a bit of a perfectionist on my drawings. Plus, not only do I sketch it, but then I scan, correct, ink and tone. It's sort of a long process for me. I'd like to have it done by September for the NY Anime Festival, but I'm not sure if I'll actually accomplish that since I have some other obligations coming up that may take up too much of my time. But I am going to do my best and hope it works out. I have about 18 pages to go, and about 26 weeks to complete and print them. (Oh and by the way, the two characters at the top of my page are two of the main characters in my book.)
Anyway, that's about it for now. I'll leave you this week with a slideshow I put together of cosplay from the NY Anime Festival 2008. Wish it was better quality, but my computer can only handle so much rendering...
