Hello fellow Otaku. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Josh, a rabid fan of most things Japanese (Especially their cartoons). Having looked at this site for the past couple months, I was tempted to hook up and see how many others like me there were. Then, about a week & a half ago, I finally decided to join the website.
I must let you know, I am not a complete Otaku. While I do watch Anime with some frequency, I don't go looking for fansubs online, or in the case of one friend, pirate series onto my computer. I am not a rabid Manga reader, owning only three books (Two of them are from the Tenchi series, and the other is the 1st volume of Suzuka), but I usually go the Manga section of a bookstore as soon as possible. I have never played a Mario, Final Fantasy, Zelda, or Metal Gear game, with the reason being that I was raised on PC games (If you were wondering, the 1st game I ever played was Doom).
For my Anime preferences, if you couldn't tell by my site name, I greatly enjoy fanservice series. Series like Girls Bravo, Rosario + Vampire, Tenchi Muyo GXP, and others I can't think of at the moment, are what I consider to be very good series. If I'm not watch a fanservice series, I generally like series that are very goofy, silly, and funny. On rare occasions, I'll watch a more darker series (Deathnote comes to mind).
As I stated earlier, I'm a PC gamer. I prefer a 50/50 combination of old/new games. My home PC has all the new games, while my laptop holds most of the old games I play. I generally play a mix of shooters, strategies, and RPGs. If any of you play Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, then you may come across me by my online name of Faust.
