This site will solely be dedicated to writing. Wether it's my own or someone else's.

I love to write. I'm quite aware that my writing skills, grammar, punctuation, etc. is excruciating to the human eye. But I'm going to keep on writing. It's something I enjoy.

I enjoy writing short stories about bizarre things. I write poetry occasionally, but not often. The longest short story I've written was eight pages long. It was about trees coming to life due to radioactive Miracle Grow.

I write essays for fun. (I know totally geeky.)

If anyone has any suggestions for a topic I could write about in a story, then feel free to suggest. I can't always come up with ideas. I'd give you credit, too of course.

I think I'll post some of my old works (the one's I can find) on here, and some new once I write some new material. I might post lyrics to songs (that I didn't write), poems (some by me, some not), and stories. (Again some by me and some not by me.)

If anyone would like to do a collaboration on writing a story with me, that'd be cool. I've never done that.

I plan on writing a chapter book this summer, I haven't started it yet. I have an idea on what I want to write about, but I'm still undecided.

Anyway, if you want me to post something of yours on here for other people to see, feel free to tell me.

Enjoy!

Poem from 5-7-08

So, a while back we had to write a poem in English class using these lists we had to make. We could use as many words from the lists that we wanted, and they could be from any one of the lists.

The first topic we had to make a list about was things we lost, and this is what I wrote for that.

  • Money
  • Sanity
  • Trust
  • Faith
  • Confidence
  • Self Respect
  • ID Card
  • My Cat
  • My Soul
  • Friends
  • Nana
  • Father
  • Homework
  • Purse
  • Clothes
  • Mind

Then the second thing we had to list about was experiences that weirded us out.

  • Matt on the bus shoving candy corn up his nose, and eating it.
  • My grandma walking around naked while giggling.
  • My little brother having a crush on me, and trying to kiss me.

The third thing we had to list about was places we've been and what reminded us of those places.

  • Derry-My grandpa lives there.
  • Mass-Where I was born.
  • Manchester-Evil school.
  • Hooksett-Where I lived.
  • Exeter-Where my grandma lives.
  • Pittsfield-Boooring. Where my mom's boyfriend lives.
  • Boston-Amazing City

The fourth thing we had to list about what animals, and what reminded us of those.

  • Cat-Fuzzy, soft
  • Ferret-Bristly
  • Dog-Scary

The fifth thing we had to list about was things that happened in our time that have had a big effect on this world.

  • 9/11
  • The War in Iraq
  • First Woman running for president along with a black person.

Here's the actual poem..

I have...
lost my sanity,
trust,
confidence, and faith
I'm spiraling downward into a black abyss
There's no way out
I'm calling out for help, and I'm only sinking deeper
I wish I could get out of this place
I need to regain my being in such a cruel place
Retrace my steps and figure out how I got in this mess
If only it'd all go away, and never come back
I need a miracle
I need myself back
I need my soul that's escaped
I have lost myself

After that was read in the class they were all like, "Whoa! That was gloomy!" People don't seem to understand that I'm really not a happy go lucky person. I put a front on making it seem like I am. I'm not inside though.

Crappy Poem

When I was laying in bed last night, a poem came to mind. Mostly because I couldn't sleep, and I was really upset. Here's what I came up with:

Heart is achin'
Throat is quakin'
Body shakin'
I'm about to be mistaken
Mistaken without you
Baby, I can't breathe without you
Life is unbearable if you're not near
All my fears, they start to take over with complete sincere
Oh baby, don't leave me
I simply can't live without you
Mind is wanderin'
Soul is fleeing
My heart will never stop loving you
Not today, not tomorrow, not ever
So don't be mistaken
For my heart is achin' just for you...

It sucks butt. -_- Oh well.

xoxo,
Britty
