This boy made me feel uneasy. His mannerisms, his scent, his information. "You are number 1?" He nodded. "Where does your information come from?" He looked me in the eyes. "I don't know. I get emails and I tend to follow them."
Pais crossed her arms. "What kind of idiot follows advice from emails when he doesn't know where they come from?" Adam shruged. "I am going to be honest with you guys. I don't remember anything from before this game started. I have always gotten these emails. They have never failed me."
I frowned. For some reason this wasn't making me feel any better. How does his informer know so much? Was it from someone outside the game? Maybe a sibbling or a parent trying to help? Maybe the police picked him to get everyone out because he is number 1?
"According to this info this potion will turn us into merfolk. Do you think that is wise? We don't know what is waiting for us." Adam sighed. "Look I did what you asked. I let you look at my stats. I told you about the emails. Heck I even told you about the potion. If I wasn't on your side why would I spill my secrets so easily? I didn't have to tell you about the potion. "
He was right about that. Why would he tell us all of this? I closed my eyes and thought about it. He could be on our side. The emails could be from someone outside trying to help us. He is a strong ally. I slowly let out my breath. "Ok...I will...trust you." For now that is. But I did not get this far by being trusting or rash. If he does decide to betray us my claws will not be far from his back.
He smiled at me and I felt a shiver go up my spine. I can't afford to let my guard down with this one. Not yet.
~ok so this was going to be the next post that was supposed to start letting everyone know that something was up with him.
Also our potion is different than the other groups. Because Adam is in our group our potion is designed to put us at a disadvantage in Area 5.
Sig's group will have the upper hand with theirs.
