woohoo things are better than they've been in a looooooong time
side note, best wishes to those celebrating yom kippur/the day of atonement (im looking at you keba)
woke up with a sore throat this morning but that pales in comparison to the fact my grandma told me her new doctor is the greatest thing since sliced bread and is willing to see patients via skype, which is good for someone in my position, so maybe i can get my health issues addressed properly woop woop
ma's doctor also coincidentally has MS and told ma that she pays nothing for her meds, so maybe my dad can get his funding back if he calls the drug company, and stop almost falling and crap because he's skipping taking it to make his stockpile last longer
im going to DC with my art history professor in 3 weeks and also im filling out an application to go to italy on an archaeological dig scholarship that could change my life for the better
i finally started working on writing a resume and am filling it with all the theater crap i did last year and this semester, and im also in the running to be a full student designer for next semester's mainstage play, Doubt: A Parable, as i am the only other qualified student besides my roommate Robin (did i mention we finally got to move in together and our stress levels have been much lower since), and Robin will probably costume the one act plays like i did last year
i have been kicking butt and taking names when it comes to assignments and quizzes. made a 108 on my first music quiz cause im a badass, and im regularly getting 100s on my art history stuff and impressing the crap out of my professor with my end of term project subject, in which i get to write about memes--MEMES--and relate Dada works to millenial nihilist humor im already cackling with joy over this you have no idea
not quite ready to come out to my mom but im almost there
got some serious credibility among the theater kids, but now that there's a bunch of newbies, they're kind of funking up the place. i miss last year's crowd, even if some of em were a little jerkish. also have basically learned light design, so all that's left is sound board and maybe electrics. but we only ever have like two people interested in electrics, so idk. oh and set design. that is the only other thing i dont know at all, besides sound board. i got a crash course in electrics during SA last fall.
slowly the pieces come together, slowly my life un-falls apart
