I'd like to see more of the basic stuff, like tables, ordered lists, colored text, different fonts, quotes, things like that available. Would be cool to get some of the advanced font effects as well, cause those are neat to play with when they work (the "glow" one is my favorite). I realize this will come off very inflammatory to certain people, but I believe we were misled regarding the full capabilities in the coding we expected find here (among other things). By comparing the code system to BB code, it set up, whether intentional or not, the assumption that certain features would inherently be available. I've been using BB code forums for a couple years now, so I'm somewhat familiar with the basics that just about every board has (a lot of the more advanced stuff isn't always supported from one BB code site to the next - there is no set of standards for that kind of thing), and even so, this particular implementation is the most difficult to work with out of all the ones I've used before. I already know all the codes here, I taught myself early on. I can type without needing those buttons up there, but it is still more difficult to use that other BB code implementations.

If I start a trend with "B" code, that's okay with me. I call things like I see then, and that's how I see the code system here as it is now.

Yeah, I pretty much had the same problems. I found many great tutorial codes for BBCoding and I thought they would work but they don't! It's really lame that virtually all customization besides the basics, has been blocked. Yeah, "B" code should be the new nickname for it.XD

Yeah, I've taken to calling the coding system here "B" code cause it's only about half what BB code really is capable of doing, if it even makes that mark. It's frustrating to know some of the more advanced BB code, and find out it can't be used here. Even basic things that are a fundamental of BB code, like links opening in a new window on their own doesn't happen here. I expected a little more when I heard a BB style coding was going to be used in place of HTML. I have to say I'm less than satisfied with the limitations, and not just in the coding, and I'm not at all surprised that the implementation of the coding here turned out the way it did.

I'm stuck in the stone ages of gaming so I don't have anything intelligent to offer to gaming discussions.

I swear I saw someone with music on their site... I miss it too... But your site does look pretty cool, Elves! I had the impression that the new Otaku would accept BB coding as well, but to my distress, it's as you said, the specially formatted stuff.

Geez, I wanna get a Wii just to play that game! It looks like so much fun... *cries* Maaaan! Cursed poorness of my wallet!! Can I come play yours... *whimpers*

Oh I know. >_< It just never occurred to me that he meant anything different since I don’t use other sites like livejournal and myspace. So the only BBCoding I knew was over at OtakuBaords. I think my having an idea was more of a coincidence than any true knowledge. XP With work I just don’t have time for other places. I still hope that later on we get more options though.

Oh if I ever get a Wii, I’ll probably check out Brawl. So I can then play Desbreko online and get royally clobbered. XD I’m thinking that will be a lot of fun.

Well, yeah, I get that now but on Adam's blog he stated that html was disabled and BBCoding was what was going to be accepted now. He failed to mention that that means that only their specially formatted coding would work and not all other BBCoding. I'm not very familiar with OtakuBoards so don't really know how things work there so it's nice at least you guys kinda had that idea, but the rest of is sure as hay didn't. Sessy was the first person that started having the problems and that made me cringe since she can figure out almost anything when it comes to coding! I wish we could customize things. Heck, even livejournal and myspace allows you to at least customize besides a couple pictures. Bah.

Oh man, but Brawl is so much fun though! The adventure mode has been compared to Kingdom Hearts in the fact that these evil dudes manifest out of nowhere and attack you.XD But I know my friend, Gavin doesn't like the Super Smash Bros. games...mostly because he's not good at them and I always kick his butt which makes him mad.

Which is why all my posting is on myotaku. I miss it too much. I need my music.

I haven't got my hands on Brawl yet, although my friends say I know enough about it that they coulda sworn I did. ;P Lotsa research. Link is hawt, but Pit is so friggen adoreable. I can't wait to try my hand at both. Ike too. :3 Have fun playing it!

I figured the BB coding was referring to the type of code or rather how that would be the format that Worlds used. Not necessarily standard BB code in general, but what was set up specifically for Worlds. It’s the same at OB, we have BB code, but it’s mostly specific for the site… I think. I could be wrong on that. XP Regardless, I hope we have more choices added later on since there are things I like being able to do with BB code that is fun to do.

I’ve been hearing about Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but I do not have a Wii and it’s not the type of game I enjoy playing. Though I’m going to have to try it one of these days just so I can play as Link. He’s such a cutie.
