Saturday was our competition in Slidell, La. The Camillia Festival! We made an:
Auxillery: 1
Percussion: 1
Overall Band: 3
....WHAT IN THE WORLD DID THE 3 COME FROM?!
Actually, the grading scale is different from the one at Dutchtown festival. There, they put the auxillery, percussion, and band scores together and averaged themm to make the Overall Band score. In the Camillia Festival, they don't influence the Overall band score at all.
We got a 42/100 in that area. Sigh..
Well at least the auxillery and percussion got much better!! I'm really proud of them!! The thing that I think brought the Overall Band's score down is the lack of marching skillz. We suck at marching this year...
Also Doc passed out some Christmas music today! We got Fum, Fum, Fum (from Manheim Steamroller) and Ukranian Bell Carol. We'll get Midnight Sleighride and the radio version of Sleigh Ride later probably. I'm excited!! I hope concert season is better than marching season, or else I think we will be bad at both categories this year... T^T
This Friday is our last football game! ;A; I will miss marching season... my last before college.... *sniff* I'm really going to be sad.....
