The Sunken (ancestors)

"Incredible!!!"I yelled.
With a sound so loud, I thought my glasses would break.
Looking through the window...I saw...
Not 1 not 2 but 4 individuals, flying trough the sky.
With wings behind their backs.

Since little, I always dreamed of flying. Flying... flying through the sky...
flying...flying through the clouds...flying through the rainbow...flying...

As I watch, one of them noticed me, he landed on my door, wanting to meet me.
As I was shy, I hid behind the door throughout the conversation we had. His voice ringing in my ear, so soft... so kind...

Then he suddenly ask:"want to ride on my back?"

I knew it was a joke, I mean, the wings are only allowed to carry one person and that one person only. If it was put under stress it would never fly again.

I rejected his offer. Even if the wings can take me, I have no right to have it.
My heart won't let me have it. He then said goodbye with his beautiful eyes. I too said goodbye to the young man who was kind enough to talk to me.

At the end, I was surprised that I finally took the courage to speak to someone, the last person I spoken to is my late mother who died 10 years ago. This is too my 1st contact to the people outside. As I was told, the people outside is cold, brutal and most of all, bring sadness to us, the sunken.

Who would have known, that the people outside actually gave me warmth, and that began my doubt for my ancestors. Thus, I took the courage, this time, not just to talk to people, but actually travel around and find more interesting adventures along the way.

I made myself clear, if I happened to be betrayed by the people outside, then the sunken would end in this generation. I know if I do not made this clear, then the generation after me would do the same mistake as I am, and would have their hearts broken, I knew I wouldn't want that.

I packed my stuff and ready to go. Far from this hell, far from this torment.
I wanted to ran away from here for so long that I eventually gave up on it.
But, meeting that person outside made my long awaited wish reborn in my heart.

As I was packing, the picture of my mother and an unknown person fell from the my mother's cupboard. Trying to uncover that persons identity, i kept it in my bag.
I knew I won't be back for a very long time, I cleaned and thrown the unwanted stuff and make sure that the house would still be in good condition when I happened come back.

I took out my savings and rode on Sapphire, my beautiful horse. And rode it to a nearby town. As I go along, I breathed in the cooling, refreshing, scented air. Its my first time breathing in fresh air since I was born, and poor Sapphire too had to suffer because of my timidness. Looking at Sapphire happily galloping through the long winding road, I feel a bit relieved and relaxed a little.

Along the way, I can see beautiful flowers, flowing rivers, big trees, huge mountains, and cute goats. We rested for a night outside, under the shady tree.
It was a good night, I slept comfortably with Sapphire cuddling under the blanket.
That was the first night I spend outside the house, the hell.

After a week of traveling, we arrived in a town full of people dress of samurai. I asked a passer-by where I am, the answer is Kyoto. I've arrived in Kyoto, the holy land of Japan. Thinking it was quite a good place to live in. I settled down and made my life as wonderful as possible in the place I called home.
