Eternal Rain rewrite
This project is pretty much finished. I am basically making tweaks here and there, though I have a few characters I'd like to develop better -- specifically Takeshi, whose main function at the moment is info-dumping best described as "guide character". Being that he's one of the four main protagonists, I'd like to give him more of a personality/backstory at this stage.
Prequels and Sequels
The main reason that I rewrote the Rain arc was that I needed to do develop the world mechanics better. As I went through the series, I gradually adjusted the way things worked, resulting in various inconsistencies.
So, now that I've gone back to fix that, all of the prequels and sequels with the old mechanics need to be updated.
UNDERGROUND and ALLIANCE are up for the biggest overhauls (starting with the title of Underground, which I thought was a cool-sounding name but doesn't make sense in context, since everything they are doing in this sequel is very much out in the open). I am wondering whether ALLIANCE is even going to exist. This sequel is a segue into Eternal Storm, and Storm rehashes a lot of points from it, so I find it too repetitive, looking back at it now. I'd like to merge the two. But at the same time, it feels like mashing ALLIANCE and Storm together wouldn't allow time for the proper development of the new teammates (Natsumi, Sora and Toshirou). So, now I'm not sure what to do. XD
These are just a few of my writing challenges with this series at the moment.
